Trek Rumblefish Pro STOLEN Castle Rock Area

One of the mechanics at Country Pedaler here in Castle Rock had his 23" Trek Rumblefish PRO stolen tonight from in front of the shop after a ride. Its a huge frame so it should be easy to spot. This bike is his baby so any help in recovering it would be much appreciated. If you have any leads you can contact the shop at 303-688-6775.

I think we need to make a stolen bike "sticky" thread It's been really bad lately. Keep em locked up and never let them outa sight.

The bike was outside of country pedaler in castle rock I had gotten back from a ride with the guys frome the shop went inside for about a half hour come out and it was gone. The bike is 23" its a huge frame and not to many people could ride it comfortably.

Downtown Castle Rock is a really low crime area.We naively leave stuff unlocked outside quite a bit. No more.

This is just really sad. It might turn up as it is a very large bike. Check the local school bike racks, craigs list and ebay also. Good luck.

Dude, I saw the signs up at rhyolite a couple of days ago about your bike being stolen. That really sucks!! I will keep my eyes open for it as I have a pretty regular rotation of rhyolite, ridge line, hidden Mesa, memmen, and Dawson's butte.

You know what's cool is it came back. I received my bike on Friday the thief must have either gotten really guilty or scared. But I am so glad I have it back. All the posters i put up helped for sure. And i thank all in the mtbr community for their help and concern for a strangers stolen bicycle.

Woah. Glad there was a happy ending. That's crazy lucky. I'm curious how you got it back. He just returned it to the shop or what?
Gotta get up to get down.

Great that you got it out of that alley before it got stolen again!

Maybe this is one of those "teach you a lesson" thieves. They saw something foolish, and wanted to teach you a lesson. It made you go crazy, and probably made you recount what you did/didn't do. Now you hopefully learned to lock your bike up by their actions! What a noble thief!

Or, you know, as was stated before, they could've just got scared that they'd get in trouble when they tried to sell it, since you made the bike publicly known. I'd like to think they were acting as a teacher, though.

Glad you got it back! Now keep it locked up! Use 2 or more locks!
