Travelrestrictions Include Traversing Sluicebox!! t.i.t.s. eve ride!!

Yep, it was a good time and that GCB to start was, well, pretty darn good. Meet up at 6:00 ready to ride- that was the part i missed in last weeks thread!

No descending enchanted this week- but it should still be good we can hit sluicebox and grubstake instead- yeah shitles those trails involve climbing -and since you are two for two in two weeks.....just sayin. May need to run a light just to get back down the path or Chimney which ever way we feel up for.

oh - Thursday at 6:00 at gcb. then Chimney/ Apex!

    uphill from there.

I think you were the only one to miss that part, Mr. Johnny Getting Ready While We All Stand Around. Harrumph. P.S. - I'm out this week, leaving for CB race as well.

Hoping to actually make one of these - heard you guys are pretty cool, but the last time I had a beer before riding, it didn't go too well (the ride, I mean)!
Will see what I'm feeling like Thurs whether I stick with the water, or something else!
    Hope/plan to be there.
If I am - possibly a pitstop at my place for a re-gathering and one en-route??!!
If you do this route again after this w/e we can have one at my place, then one at WKD RDR's new place - which will literally be right on the route. Expect to see a mini-shop set up in his garage with stuff for sale cheap.

    Count me in!

Was thinking of breaking out the single-speed ... but ... this doesnt sound like the right ride for that. ( unless I put my chainring on the wheel and my cog on my cranks! )

Never been...to GCB, Chimney, or Apex. Do I need to wear full body armor to defend myself from militant hostile hikers?

I'll bring the rigid SS, but I'm in the process of putting fatter tires on so that might help too.

Anybody have an extra light I could borrow? I have never done this route and have no idea how long it would take to get my fat a$$ over Chimney and down Apex but if there is a chance one would need lights, I will need a light. Does a camping headlamp count? I have plenty of those around. Please be patient with this relative newb to the scene. Excited as this is one of those rare Thursday nights I have off.

Ive got a few lights available for a test run. IF Scar shows up this week he can chime in on what he's got! We didnt need em last week- well Homegrown and i threw in an extra climb and we could have used them just for the path back - we both had one just didnt turn em on.

Sweet - guess i better eat some extra hot mustard to try and keep That Guy in sight at least till we cross the road!

I'm guessing we should have a fairly good group showin up!

Guac im gonna go ahead and call you out here- as good as you were looking at mile 94 on sat. you should rock the ss- i havent seen you suffer in a while! btw glad that was all downhill from where i left you!
