Traveling I-70 To Sisters! T.I.T.S. Night Ride!!

Ok, this will be a new one and am looking forward to it! Would really like to start as close to 6:00 as possible, for max riding time to stay within our one hour after sunset curfew. Have a loop in mind but have only ridden it once and not even all of it. So this is where you guys come in and suggest up the best route and or starting point that you like!! Thanks Amoeba may have some demos, Jay? I know i have two of yours but will let you offer them up. Otherwise i'll get them back to you.

Jen, if you want I'm sure i can talk Jay into letting me hang on to these for this ride

Forecast looks real nice, lets go ride shall we?!

oh, forgot we are back on for thursdays!!!! sweet!!

uhm.... park and prep at the didesse trail head area that is just above the lake --- it's the turn off before you hit the late exit. i'm pretty sure that is what you're referring to?

i'll just ride down and meet you all.

    clear as mud?

There's also the Whipple Tree, right on the way back outta Evergreen if you go the I-70 route, that would be my choice-slash-suggestion. It's more of a biker bar, after all!

Hopefully there will be someone to ride with me at the back of the pack. This will be my first TITS ride. Hard to say no to this one since it is 5 minutes from the house.

If you mean after dark, it's an hour after sunset, and PBR says we'll be out. We are law abiding citizens after all.

I am usually towards the back of the pack, and will be happy to oblige. If for some strange reason I am actually faster than you, we always regroup quite a few times throughout the ride. It will be good to meet you before the concert Sunday!

Bonking ... not feelin' well Gah!

dang, this one sounded fun, too...

hate to conflict (inevitable), but this thursday is the first COMBA Social Ride, and the Board of Directors will be out to join everyone at Lair O the Bear.

(edit: wait a minute, PBR, aren't you on that committee??)

i suppose there'll be some other time to witness Jj making fools of all of you.

Sounds like fun and I've never been there...I'm in!

Not sure on the I-70 thing though, looking at a map it seems like from south Denver you could get there quicker off of 285 and parmalee gulch / myers gulch cutting through Pence? Is that a good way to go, or is Google Maps snowing me...?

A quicker way may be to continue on 285 and get off in Conifer. Then head south on 73 to Evergreen. I have never cut across Parmalee.

i think hitting 285 to parmalee (through indian hills), down onto the highway and into evergreen would be faster than going all the way up to conifer and dropping down...

Thanks jenamin, yeah, I have ridden part of parmalee many times hooking up Falcon to LOTB, nice up there...just been awhile since I stayed on the road thru Kittredge but I thought it was a better option. I can read maps but have no sense of direction so for me, getting confirmation is always good.

Maybe if anyone wants to go that route we could do the "meet at the fort" thing? PBR?

MGE, that ride up north would be more compelling if it was called "Dave's uber fun and beautiful ride, with beer"

    ok ok, sheeesh!

The I-70 part was for the acronym, get there however you want- I am personally driving through morrison and idledale we are starting at the Dedisse TH Turnoff before the lake exit if your heading south into town. So its north of the lake got it? got it? Meet at 6:00

If there are any strays that want to meet at the 3chicas parking lot (upper) We'll roll through there and pick you up on the way up evergreen mtn.- FT, traveling companion! and anybody else running late.......any of this make sense if in doubt be at the uppper lot ready to roll by 6:45. if your running later! and we'll rustle you up!

    <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/1HEN5-aiTRI&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/1HEN5-aiTRI&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>

So shall we saddle up them ponies!!

by the way, if you haven't seen terror in tiny town, worth watching with uhmm maybe an adult beverage or two!

I'm not gonna spoil the fun, but there just might be a full moon over Buff Creek next week on thursday!

ps i'll bring some refreshments that come in a red white and blue can similar to my avatar!
