Maxwell and pineridge are still open as of last evening. Smoke wasn't bad until you got above he "A" on the east side of Horsetooth.

The smoke up in Soapstone could be really bad. I suggest heading south to Lyons.

As of today, your only options are probably Coyote Ridge, which is not very beginner friendly, or Devils Backbone, again, not very beginner friendly. There is also the Pineridge area behind Spring Canyon Park. Other than that, not sure where to point ya. You can check the link for more trails & maps. Hope this helps.

I rode Lyons on tuesday and plan on going there again today. Smoke isn't too bad. Quite a few trails down there about 45min from FoCo. Picture Rock and Antelope are somewhat beginner friendly. Avoid Hall Ranch (though its an awesome trail) as its quite technical.

As mentioned soapstone is open, though i don't know what the smoke is like out there, very beginner friendly. Also I bet Curt Gowdy is still open, plenty of trail for all skill levels there.
