    Trail suggestions in late May?

Before stopping at Fruita/Moab on our 10 day riding trip, we will be passing through the Front Range this late May during our drive. What are your recommendations for sweet trails, especially for some scenic rides? We were thinking about saying a couple nights in Colorado Springs. Suggestions/tips? Crested Butte and other equivalent high elevation trails are out of the question this early in the riding season, correct?

    Thanks in advance,
    Ryan

Where in the front range? I always recommend Apex in Denver/Golden with a tour of the the YEti factory to make it a good trip. Maybe even go out with the Yeti boys for thier noon ride testing some high end gear.

    Erik,

Not quite sure to be honest, we have no experience in Colorado other then skiing. Therefor, I'm open to all suggestions, doesn't even necessarily have to be the "front range"! I was bummed out that Crested Butte will be a no go in May, so the next best thing to that would be right up our alley.

Man, I'm afraid if I hopped on an '10 575, I'd sell my 08' right then and there

Did a bit of research, this looks like a solid place to ride. Will put it on our list of possible rides. Thanks for your suggestion man.

If you have a Yeti, go for the Denver ride get a cool tour of the factory and have some fun. Where are you coming from?

We are coming from Chicago, so time is precious.

Cap'n Jacks loop (up Buckhorn trail, down Cap'n Jacks and then back up Gold Camp Rd.) is the "if you can only ride one trail in COS trail". If you want more distance, throw in the Chutes. If you have more time here, Palmer Park is a good choice.

I will aslo be in the Denver/Colorado Springs area in late May and need some trail suggestions. What about Monarch Crest? Will it be rideable by the end of May?
