Trail Conditions - GM - OK

    For those considering a ride...

Got back about an hour ago from a loop around Green Mountain. Pretty decent, no mud (at all), no drifts, mostly packed snow (no ice!). The West side dirt road is almost clear and dry. It may be a little moist this much later in the day but with the wind wicking the moisture away, probably not much. The top quarter of the mountain is REALLY windy (blew me clear off the trail twice), but the rest of the ride is OK, not too cold (didn't regret not wearing long pants).

    Very few tire tracks!

    Post if you go!

Yeah, WINDY! I rode my local trail and it was comical. During a crosswind on a snowpacked road I had to get on my drops to weight the front wheel enough to keep it from sliding too far sideways.

FWIW, anyone reading this in the southern Boulder County, Marshall Mesa was A-OK. Snowpacked, not melting out, but of course windy as windy gets.

Take the long cut, we'll get there eventually.

Yip, out there yesterday for a couple laps and then back to the local loops here for a couple laps. Windy as heII on the west side of the highway... Got some mild frostbite on my toes yesterday. That was good for an hours worth of squirming after the ride.

Note to self... get some shoe covers.
