    Trail conditions 1/28/06

Green Mountain/Forsberg Park - Did the GM loop (frozen) early this morning and had a blast.
Lower south side - still a bit of upslope snow and occasional snow on the trail.
West-side dirt road - lots of snow at the top and minimal snow half way up.
South-East side single track (from just West of the radio tower down to the bottom) - several 100 + yard sections of packed snow.
The temperature was staying pretty cold even after sun up but if it really warms up today some sections will be a muddy mess.

    Belcher

Belcher hill is clear and/or frozen enough all the way to the tippy-top (still at 2 this afternoon). Didn't bother w/ any of the North side trails. Could have been a mistake to miss the real trails. Perhaps tomorrow.

Hall Ranch is good right now. I didn't make it up but quite a few folks stopped in saying that, although there's still snow all around the loop, there's no mud and you can hold a dirt line about anywhere.

    Rode Hall yesterday...

...at 7 a.m. before going into work, and it was great! The tread is almost all frozen dirt, even on the loop, and even the perma-ice spot on the loop wasn't bad!

    White Ranch conditions 1/30/06

As of the afternoon of 1/30, White Ranch was good riding. Belcher Hill was almost completely dry. North facing trails, such as Longhorn and Shorthorn were snowpacked. However, no major ice or mud, and the snowpack was ridable and fun.

    Cheers.
