Too Long Trail at Bergen Peak

Climbed CCW yesterday, this may be the most sustained tech climb on the "front range"

Funny you mention this. I also did Too Long CCW on Friday. It was my first time at Bergen Peak so I just took the advice of others who have ridden there. Side note: I'm not sure why I have never been to Bergen as a 38 year old, Denver area native - but I will be back. I was wondering why everybody always talks about Falcon or Belcher as "The" area climbs with no mention of Bergen/ Too Long.
Here is my vote for Bergen.

Mainly because of the shade, cooler temps and less traffic heading up to Bergen Peak.

I like Too Long as an out and back, there are so many little features that it never gets old, besides riding CW just seems like a head down suffer fest.

I think going up the Bergen Peak trail to the top is a slighter tougher climb than the Too Long Trail. I love them both though.

best time for bergen is a sunrise ride, hit the trail head by 4:45ish, the valley is often socked in with fog. if you time it right, you'll pop out above the fog just at sunrise, and summit in time for all the fog to burn off. worth the pain of getting up early.
