Tired of the snow? How about a little Buckethead?

Actually, I'll take a fresh coating of snow over 1/4" of ice over everything like this morning.

Well, the sun has come up and I see blue sky. The Irresistible Force of Buckethead has driven the clouds away. All Hail Buckethead.

Thanks for introducing me to Buckethead, XC guy. I'm not easily freaked-out, but a guitar virtuoso wearing a Jason-inspired mask and a KFC bucket, pretending to be a robot....well, he haunts me now.

I read a story about Dogfish Head brewing up that "Midas Touch" before it was called that. They just randomly served it in their tap room and asked people what they thought. Enough said they liked it that they went ahead and started bottling it.

I got introduced to BH on the Turner forum. Some guy posted a vid of BH doing "Night of The Slunk" and the rest is history.

It's hard to compare to anything else. Slightly dark with mellow hints of spices. It's expensive, but worth it. I approve.

    From Dogfish Head:

"This was the first beer in our Ancient Ales series.

This sweet yet dry beer is made with ingredients found in 2,700-year-old drinking vessels from the tomb of King Midas. Somewhere between wine and mead, Midas will please the chardonnay and beer drinker alike."

It doesn't taste like any mead or chardonnay I've had (not that it's a bad thing.) When I was picking it up there was a bunch of CU bros there buying two shopping carts full of Colt45 40s. Oh to be young again!

While we're on the topic of awesomeness...

Buckethead is awesome, but who in here likes stoner metal? Some of the electro and drums in this dilute, but you can't deny the guitar solos.

Somebody posted up a link to these guys a few months ago. Which got me to check out Tobin Abasi's stuff. I really like this. I love it when I learn about "new" music I'd never heard of before...that I like!
