I usually have a couple extra lights that could light the way for a rider or two.

Looks like those kilts run about $200 not sure my customers would like it if i was to wear one while up on a ladder all day But they prob. cut the wind pretty good on a chilly night ride!

Cops stop cyclist with butcher knife-pool cue axe[/SIZE]

ALEXANDRIA, La. – Alexandria police said man stopped for riding his bicycle at night without a headlight was carrying a weapon made from a butcher knife attached to a pool cue. They said the 51-year-old man also had a razor blade in his hat. He was booked with illegally carrying a weapon, doing so after a felony conviction, resisting an officer, public intoxication and at least five outstanding warrants.

The police report said the suspect originally gave police a fake name. An officer patted him down and found a metal push rod that appeared to be used for smoking crack cocaine. They also found a prescription painkiller in someone else's name.

The moral of story: Get your headlight today

Well there will be no crack smokin on this ride will you know! (scottish voice again)

funny story i was living around bowles and wads at one time and went for a ride one night on my Nishiki backroads mtb when i had to ride a small section of wadsworth at night. low and behold cop lights behind me. I had no ID on me, and long story short proceeded to receive a ticket for no headlight or tail light. Was like a $60 lesson learned. Decided not to fight it. I probably could have outran him but where i was there was no easy short cut back to the townhome.

Thats why we rock the Amoeba, now the only ticket we can get is leaving our brights on!!

Avion.nomad...remember to bring that bleed kit...stopped by the moto shop today and picked up some Dot 5.1

If the temperature stayed below freezing on GM today conditions should be good. I've done a couple higher elevation rides this week that have been great. 3" of fresh powder covered the ice @ BC last night which made things a little sketchy but I've heard GM only had a dusting. Don't take my opinion too seriously though. If I'm on the bike I always think conditions are good unless its stuck in the trainer.
