September 17th, 18th and 19th, 2010

The Trailblazers are pleased to announce Team Evergreen's Epic for 2010.

Team Evergreen's Epic is a weekend of celebration centered on our trail building activities happening on Saturday, September 18th. Our project is the Nice Kitty trail, in Buffalo Creek Recreation Area, located about an hour west of Denver within Pike National Forest.

Come just for the day, or stay all weekend! Campers who arrive the afternoon of Friday, September 17th will awaken to breakfast served prior to the trail event on Saturday, which will be followed in the evening by dinner and libations. Participants are welcome to camp overnight again on Saturday, to enjoy a day of relaxation and riding on Sunday.

Registration is just $10, and can be accomplished on our sign up page, available at this link:

The Saturday evening entertainment will be live music once again. This year we are looking forward to seeing the Wizards of Whack, who performed at this year's Bob Cook memorial hill climb, generating favorable comments all around.

Also of note this year, due to the tremendous contributions of time and passion from our volunteers on the project so far, is that our staging area for the trail activities will move from its previous location, down to FS 543, near the parking area adjacent to the creek. This means that parking for folks arriving Saturday morning will be somewhat restricted. However, this also means that many campers, having spent the night, will choose to ride their bikes from the campground, travelling down FS 543, to the staging area. (There will be some bike racks available, with someone present for the duration of trail activities.)

Finally, we'd like to thank all of our sponsors for their contributions and assistance, without whom we'd simply be unable to present this event.

We look forward to seeing many of you again this year, and as always we welcome newcomers as well.

I agree bulldozer, it was hard work and will take a lot to get the lower sections done once below the tree line. What got done was some B-E-A-UTIFUL trail. Great job to everyone who worked on Saturday. The other aspects of the weekend were fun as well.

Thanks TE and TB,

Ink
