Going to IW today with my Growler to fill it up with some Scottish.

Sorry to say I'm out for Thursday due to a work engagement that has me flying to Huntsville, AL and back in less then 24 hours. Whew!

Should be in. Don't see why not. Heard the Scottish is good this year, but I'm not sure I trust the source...

Yeah, our 'source' may have been a lil' 'sauced' when recommending it.

    Snow?

    What's routine if there's 4"-8" of snow?

Alright, I'mma rescind my earlier statement and just now say that I'm out. Oh, I'll still be at Ironworks (gotta pick up the skis from Green Mountain Sports) but I've gone soft, and don't feel like riding in these temps/snow depths. Mmmm... Scottish...

I am all for some adventure, but this is kind of hard on the trails don't you think? Maybe not if we had a sustained snowpack and the tires weren't touching the soil???

    Trail Damage?

With as cold as it is and the amount of snow the only chance of damage is to one's ego, there is enough snow to protect, well whatever you think needs to be protected.
Go and have fun, I am placing bets you guys do a lap around the bar and start drinking wish I lived closer.

I will simply say I disagree with your premise, why don't you go to the trail head and scout it out for them if your so concerned

If they are lucky it will be 15deg with a wind chill down below 0, not much gonna be melting, wouldn't you agree.
An yes now I am just a troll

Guess you dont follow our rides much- all we do is drink pbr's , skid, flip off hikers, run over bird watchers and yell at off leash dog owners!

When in reality everyone that rides in our group does some sort of trail work/ volunteering and specifically on GM - so your concerns are valid but we use better judgment than your implying! I believe it was about 17 degrees that night of that vid last year. Trust me everything was frozen- i went down and yep- it was frozen.

Joe- you may be right about tonight!

actually there are areas that were drifted up to 6-8" it will be a while before it is "good to go" but if your riding it when its frozen and you dont mind a little HAB then you'll have fun!
