I'd join you but I'll be up at Breck.

Turns out that five years of not mountain biking, really makes one strive to get back to it.

If anyone comes up with anything to do, 303.818.3775. If not, I'll be riding Hall or something here in an hour or two and then hitting the Research park later this afternoon.

Sorry I missed your post until just now. I wasn't able to head out this morning but Wes and I went up this afternoon and added another notch to our seatposts here :

    Shhh..do you hear that?

I think that this is the nicest, scariest, biggest, smoothest drop that I have hit anywhere, I'll get some pics up tommorrow after Wes sends them to me. I might be able to swing something next Sunday PM or maybe even early in the AM either day (Sat or Sun), if anyone is up for it. There is a ton of stuff around to hit, all within a 5 mile radius.

Well, I stood in the area where we were landing (on the best attempts - it's kinda spooky) and placed a 5' rake on top of my helmet (I'm about 6' w/ the helmet) and Wes estimated that the lip was about 3' above the rake, so 14' - give or take a foot. The funny thig is that it really is the smoothest, most gentle drop I have hit, anywhere. It feels like you are floating for a little bit - neither one of us even came close to bottoming out. I hope to get up there again soon as I would like to hit it with a bit more speed - we were hitting it going about 5 or 6 mph - if you hit it too much faster, I think it could quickly turn into a 20' to flat -but it should be good for another 2 or 3 mph ( and 3' or 4' vertical ) Good fun...
