    Summit Ride Questions

I am going to be in the Frisco area and have two questions I would appreciate some help with.

    1. Is there any chance in h*** that the Copper to Searle part of the Co Trail is open? I presume I am two weeks early or so but figured it was worth the ask.

    2. Peaks would be our second option but I read that "Peaks Connect" trail is closed for Moose Calving. Is Peaks Connect the same thing as the famous Peaks trail between Breck and Frisco?

I presume I am out of luck on both accounts but it never hurts to ask.

    Thanks!

Reasonable to expect snow or muddy conditions, or both, at this point in the season.

Not the same; Peaks Connect begins at the south end of the Peaks Trail and connects said trail to Breckenridge Ski Area's trail system via the (I think) Peak 8 area without having to go through town.

You can take the peaks connect to just past the peak 7 base area then you'll have to take the road down into town unless you know how to catch any of the little trail connections in the Nordic Center or Four O'Clock run.

The trail from the Peaks TH through the Cucumber Gulch area is closed until July 8 for Moose Calving.

Just saw a trail condition report for searle. Still a couple weeks until its rideable.

Have you considered the colorado trail from gold hill east towards keystone? Rode it this week and it's good to go. One of my favorite rides in the area.

Thanks for all the feedback. I hit Monarch Crest instead and it was great except for a few snow fields we had to hike. Might hit Goldhill CT and Peaks this weekend.
