    Stan's Sealant PSA

If you think Stan's is good for 3 months in your tires while sitting in a garage in 100+ temps........ It's not!

Swapped out a tire that i put on about a month ago and it was almost bone dry, other than the coral pieces rattling around.

Yeah, after my stan's dried out in less than a month in this heat, I'm trying the stan's/ slime tubeless mix, sounds like it holds up to the heat better.

FYI... CO2 also contributes to Stans Monster formation. So if you've reinflated with CO2 or used a CO2 inflator to get your tires seated make sure you purge and refill with ambient air or nitrogen or helium or whatever. Apparently it's pH sensitive.

Wow that is fast.My stans lasted much longer but I keep my bikes inside. I must of got a pinch flat about 6-8 months after I did my tubeless setup and the Stans filled the hole right away. I was actually kinda surprised. I think I do about 1 3/4 scoops on my 2.3 / 2.4 tires. Interesting, never heard that about CO2 and Stans.

I used to get 3-4 weeks of liquidity before they'd booger up. That was in 90-105 degree heat.

Crud. I'm using a big liquid CO2 tank and regulator to set the bead on the rims. Nothing but CO2 in my tires. Might be time to spring for a normal compressor. Good to know.

Anybody tried the new stuff from WTB or Hutchinson? I don't mind Stans but the last few batches I have used the beads seem to be less and less - even with lots of shakin.

Darn it! I thought it was more old fashioned comedy.
