SS advice for Fruita this weekend

    Hello,
We are making the annual trip to Fruita this weekend. We have decieded to take only the SS's this year.

Does anyone have a good gear combo for the stuff off of Loma? We want to ride everything there on Saturday.

Any constructive help will be appreciated. Any other help will be thrown to the peanut gallery.

    Thanks

Loma's not too hard/steep except for Moore. On a 26er with 175 cranks, 32:18 was fine for me and I'm never in super shape. 29er maybe go easier a smidge. For me, 29er with 34:22 and 180 cranks is a bit too easy; tho it makes the Chutes climb (at 18rd) doable, and I'm not too worried about maintaining a high avg speed. I'll be there too.

32.19 is my vote for 26" wheels. Better a shade to tall than a shade too short.

Rode there, Loma & 18Rd, last weekend for the first time on an SS and 32:18 on a 26" worked perfectly for me
