    Springs Wednesday Evening Ride 8/21/13

Who is down to slay some CMSP????

Its been awhile and I need to ride my hard tail since I am racing on it this weekend.

Also open to other hard tail friendly locations as well.

What about red rocks so it's free for me. I spent all my bike money for the month on winter park.

I am up for either location. I also will be rocking the HT wrapped in spandex and sipping Heed with my can of Big-Air strapped to my Thomson!

I'd be up for Red Rocks. Think we'd be able to hit the jumps a bit? Racers could get some riding in and circle back maybe.

So I can finally make one of these Wednesday night runs. Are any of you guys going to Trinity after? I was told 1$ from every beer sold Wednesday night goes towards Ute Valley Park (they do close kind of early though @ 9)

This Wednesday it is going to Medicine Wheel. It is only from 5:30 - 7:30 though. Otherwise I would have stopped in on my way home.

How much climbing is there at Red Rocks? I just did 43 mile ride last night and I'm beat. I can't do CMSP, too much climbing. But willing to do Red Rocks (maybe).

Thinking of doing a ride up in Palmer or Ute.

    How about this idea.

Lets meet at Trinity for a pre ride beer between 5:30 and 6:00 so we can support Med Wheel then lets hit ute... XC people can do a XC loop and if people want to go jumping there is plenty of that.

Sounds like a good plan. Beer + bikes usually equals win.

I don't think thirty minutes is going to be long enough to accommodate my insatiable thirst for beer. Bring lights I have a feeling this might be a late one!

This may be a stupid question... but are you guys planning on riding to Ute from Trinity? Curious if I should be riding there or driving there.

Don't know about the rest, but I am not. Not only do will I have Julio with me and don't want him to run on the streets. But my bike is allergic to pavement, it gets rashes on the tires.

I was planning on riding from Trinity to Ute. There is a back way to get to the park.

I was thinking riding from Trinity works best for me, then I can just ride home we're done. I was planning on going up Centennial, to Pinion Valley, to Mule Deer and up the dirt road. Is that the back way you were talking about?

That works Brian, but there was a way I used to go from Elkton then cut across a field to the residential neighborhood then the ditch that that has some single track next to it.

That works, along that drainage ditch. Less road = better. Looks like we could just cross Centennial right by Trinity and get to that trail off of List Dr too.

I just got in town and settled in yesterday and did a little riding around Pulpit Rock this morning from my dorm at UCCS. I don't have a car but would be interested in riding tonight if you all think it is doable to ride from campus. Is the general consensus right now to ride Ute Valley from the brewery on Garden of the Gods?

Whaddup HTK! It is probably less than 2 miles from the campus to trinity. You will just have to deal with a bit of craziness along garden of the gods.
