    Springs Night Ride 3/6/13?

What do you guys think? I definitely want to ride, but a projected high of 57 on Wednesday could make that difficult.

Any guesses about what could be rideable? Maybe Pulpit Rock? I'm thinking that the trail above campus at UCCS would be good, as well as the trail from campus down to Il V's.

I just took the dog for a short Ute walk and there is still some decent muddy spots. I'm guessing it is worse in the shaded areas. Pulpit sounds like fun though.

Pulpit does pretty good in wet conditions, much better than palmer or Ute...

Ya maybe too depends on trail conditions. We got lots of snow today on ft carson but it melts uber fast down there so cmsp should be good to go. Ill keep a eye on it just in case

Yeah I'd be down for some state park too. Pdubs and Rich, let us know what things look like between now and Wednesday and we can decide what is going to be the best to ride.

I'd like to ride Wed. As you can see, we will be riding in warm weather. Unlike last week, the mud will still be mud. We should choose wisely.

Totally agree. It sounds chezzy, but we could always ride the Sante Fe trail. As long as wheels are turned and beers are consumed.

OMG, I was talking about this. I love the Sante Stinky at night. We can leave from Criterium parking lot and head north. We only have to avoid the sticky spot under Woodman area, which is easily done. Second thought: leave from Il Vic and have thoughts of pizza and beers.

    Monday Cheyenne Canon area report:
1-2" wet snow, mostly melted and gone by sundown today.
Gold Camp - dirt to parking lot - some dry, some mud, very little snow.
High Drive - south side - some snow, but almost all melted out.

Will try to hit BH, CJ, or Chutes tomorrow and post.

    Tuesday,Cheyenne area:
Some snow on GC late morning, mostly puddles by early afternoon.
Snow on High Drive really easy to get through, melting well by early pm.
Jacks: More snow that I would have liked so didn't ride it.
Chutes: A guy I bumped into came up that way and said it was pretty muddy.

Sunny this afternoon and tomorrow's sunny and warmer, so things could dry out by tomorrow night.

Congrats on the new bike! Are you riding it tomorrow night?
Also a little bird told me that Buckhorn and Jacks are still snowy in spots but mostly in the shade but all of it is ride-able and good to go. Just thought I'd mention that...

Still warming up out there. Forecast seems to be the same with warm temps all the way through 8pm. I'm still up for anything: Sante Fe, Cheyenne Canyon, etc. We just need a couple more people to chime in.

Does anyone need lights tonight? I have a couple decent lights that I can charge up if I get a request.

I recommend we meet at Il Vic's and hit Pulpit Rock. If Pulpit is full of muck we go to plan B the Sante Fe.

Tennubs FTW! I think that's a great plan. See you guys at Il V's at 6:00! Naturally, we're talking the Il V's on Nevada, not downtown in case anyone is confused.

I'm a weak maybe. My phone died on me today so I have to go to the Verizon store after work and plead, yell, cry... or whatever I have to do to get a replacement without spending any money.

Do you need to borrow a helmet too? Not to be a nazi, but I would strongly prefer it if you wore one... One of the trails we are going to hit is pretty technical and I think it's just a good idea.

Jim, last week was a mellow one for the Inflexible group. There will be some tech sections of Pulpit we hit tonight that will show the true colors of the group. I am bringing a helmet light for you

: ) Oh yes, I do have a helmet. I'll try to remember to bring it when I ride with you guys. There is a bit of a story, and some medical reasons, we can talk later...

As to tonight, looks like I'm not going to be able to make it after all. You guys have a good one, and maybe I'll catch you this weekend (in more snow... : )

That was a riot! Pulpit Rock is the most under-rated trail system in town. It has everything from long(ish) climbs, sweet flow, gnarly tech and great views! I need to get over there during the day time sometime and check it out (although without Jay, I would have abosolutely NO idea where to go).

    Cheers!

    Nice ride!

Great riding guys! Night rides are so much fun that even the DiamondBack rep showed up for action!
Here are some pics, sorry if I wasn't able to get everyone... Most of the action shots came out quite blurry, I don't have Jaydude's photog skills. The pics at the end was of Diamondback Dave giving us a little product demo of their new Mason hardtail.

Great pictures fellas! The edit is still rendering and I am in a two handed struggle with wordpress. If you haven't heard, the Inflexibles has a new website! It is just a repository for our ride photos and videos; a place to reminisce. It is a total mess because I suck at wordpress, but pDubs and I are trying to make it something cool so keep checking here: theinflexibles.com

I'll post again when the video is up, until then I leave you with Old Greg...Nic's flashing sea monster handlebar mascot reminds me of Old Greg

Still uploading to YouTube at the moment... Still working on silly stuff, but I am getting the rendering thing down. Tried some slow-mo and Nic gets hit by lightning! Music is by Miles Davis. We are going to have this on the inflexibles site as soon as we get past the 20MB upload limit.

I really dig the reverse camera angle from the seatpost. Next time I will be sure to keep track of the person behind me--it mostly turned out to be headlights in the distance. I kinda like having the trail audio in the background, but some of it could be clipped--like when Jay and I are talking about running into my ex

I inserted two photos this time which tells a story in itself. Next time I will pull some of you guy's pics from the ride and paste them in there.

Gopro batteries do not last long, do they? Need to get a second one.
