I'm in Springs for a few weeks staying with family on the east side of town...could I join this ride? Will a 29er hardtail be able to handle these trails? What's the start time? Where's the meeting location?

Sorry for all the questions, just really hope I can tag along with some locals.

    Thanks,
    E

Yes, we had so much fun there on Sunday that we decided to do it again. All that needs to be ironed out is the meeting location, and I'll let Jay take the point on deciding that.

Enewman, 3/4 of us were on 29er hardtails on Sunday and they worked just fine. The trails are a little chunky in places but you shouldn't have any problem.

In for night time bike riding shenanigans!

Start time is 6pm, meeting place is unknown. Everyone bring lights as we'll be starting in the dark this week.

We COULD start at me and Jaydude's house. Il Vicino works too. A little pre-ride food prep at the house could go a long way.

Lets just plan on meeting at my place and start the ride from there. To hit the new Winter Warlock trail we will need to start of by riding 15 minutes of residential road but will be worth it.

Enewman I can PM you my address if you are going...

Yes, it looks like it's just following that one road around and that will dump us right off at Pulpit Rock. I would like to hit the connector between the neighborhood and Pulpit Rock again before hitting Winter Warlock. I'm currently 15/15 on Strava for that line since we waited up in the middle of that section and I think I can do a little better than that . I loved that downhill!

I will bring more Winter Warlocks for this ride!

Oh geez, it's called "Kristian's Trail" now? So why are there two different versions of it?

Wow, I think we're earning a reputation as the BBI tour guides . We had fun riding with a guy taking classes there a few weeks ago. You shouldn't have an issue getting to Jay's by 6:00. We don't usually get going right then anyways.

Jay, is there anything we can bring (besides beer) since your donating your house as the start/end point?

You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to Jaydude again.

Yes, we had just finished quaffing the first Warlocks of the season at the bottom of the trail so it seemed appropriate.

Hey, if I'm not there at 6:00, come look for me on Cobblestone/Extra Credit. I have a light afternoon so I think I'm going to do some Shinobi Strava on Cobblestone before heading to Jay's.

That was a good example of an Inflexibles ride. Beers, breaks, exploration, tech trails..beeers... Stoked that the chili came out pretty good, even though I almost burned the house down with that pork bone. Thanks to all that came out!!

Thanks to all for last nights ride and delicious food! That ride truly shows what mountain biking is all about. Riding, having fun with friends and enjoying good beer and food!

By the way... happy to report that my tires still have air, they survived the cactus parking lot!

Did anybody get any PRs or KOMs? That really would take this amazing ride to the next level!

LOL! I got 4th on the descent to Pulpit Rock which is much better than the 17/17 I had on Sunday. With all of the breaks and lost glasses, I wasn't able to beat my 3rd on Winter Warlock. I'll have to go back there on the plastic bike at some point and really work that one .
