The forecast is a 60% chance of snow and it will almost certainly be below 32 degrees so mud shouldn't be an issue. I'm thinking Palmer Park, but I'd be open to other ideas too. What do you guys think?
One more week for me hopefully, I can have drinks with you if you don't ride.
Man, 5 maybes and one "I want to drink".... If the moon wasn't almost full I would say screw it and drink with Joe. Then again, if it's snowing, the moon won't be visible. Hopefully at least some of the maybes will be able to ride and we'll get that cool "jump to light speed" effect you get riding in the snow!
Since everyone else is bailing I'll fill in. A que hora?
Sweet Paul! We'll meet at the usual lot on the west side at 6:00.
This ride is not going to be for the faint of heart unless the wind dies down a little--it was awful when I came to work this morning. I've got layers for my layers (and those layers have their own layers too). I'm going to pump up my tires a little extra too--I don't want to have a flat on a night like tonight!
Great pics Jay! After you left, we rode all of Templeton to the Cobblestoned drop in and planned to ride down that back to the cars. That wasn't going to happen though--the ice was crazy!!! Instead, we rode back up to Little Moab and then around the entire Palmer Point trail. There were still some icy sections but not nearly as bad as Cobblestoned.
I don't even want to know why Paul is drinking from a bike stand....
Was a fun night, well minus the "camo ice" I have never seen brown ice before that looked like trail until you were on it. So crashing, and loosing my rear break and a night at the hogan followed up by the beer garage, it turned into a great night. Glad there is a good group of riding buddies here.
