    Springs Evening Ride 6/27/12

Since the city parks are closed, I think our best bet this week is CMSP (which appears to be still open). Meet at Safeway on Hwy 115 at 6:00 and carpool into the park? I have room for two others (who either have 9mm or 20mm forks, or their own 15mm fork-up).

If the smoke is really bad to the south, we might want to reconsider the plan at the last minute. Please post up if you're coming and follow this thread on Wednesday afternoon in case of last minute changes.

Me and short bus were talking about this yesterday and figured CMSP was the best bet. I didn't get any smoke at my place till after 930ish yesterday and it was mainly just the smell no ash or anything so it should be good to go. I'm in.

Have fun guys. I relocated to my inlaws in Castle Rock so I'm out for this ride. The commute to North Gate isn't too much longer than my normal drive to work but driving home from CMSP would be a bit much. I wonder why Ute Valley isn't on the list?

Is that a temporary thing regarding the fire/smoke, or did you move to Castle Rock longer term?

Temporary because of the smoke. I am just across the street from the mandatory evac area but I don't have ac. I didn't want the girls breathing in too much smoke so I'm at my inlaws. Luckily they moved in a week ago.

    Question for you B

I know you work really close to my house, as a thought we could ride share to CMSP after work and then I could offer you a room for the night, you'll miss your family for one night but you will be with your extended family.

No matter what I hope your doing well.

Man has that fire moved way north quickly, hope woodland park stays safe.

Thanks Joe. I don't think I could swing a night away. My 1 year old just got foot&mouth disease so I need to be around to help.

    Gonna stay close to home

With the way things are I would be up for having a beer but not gonna leave north side of the springs

Agreed. As much as I mentally NEED a ride right now, I am going to go home tonight... If anyone does ride, have fun and be safe.

I'm out too. It's hard for me to get motivated with all that's going on.

Ya this stuff is starting to take its toll, I'm going to scout out some trails here and see how it goes before air gets bad down here again. I'm looking to get out of town this weekend for some trails elsewhere any good ideas? Fruita is probaly hot as heck.
