    Springs Evening Ride 6/12/13

Did you guys formulate a ride plan yet? I was kinda thinking about Red Rocks if a plan hasn't been derived yet--otherwise I'm up for whatever.

I kinda brought up riding Ute again, but unfortunately I just checked my schedule and I'm a 50/50 this week due to work.

I'm up for either. We haven't done Red Rocks in awhile, but on the other hand I can't say no to rolling out of my garage to the ride. I'll leave it up to what the racers think their legs can handle.

Yeah, it doesn't matter to me either way either. If we do Ute, is it a "Freeride Wednesday" Ute, or a trail ride Ute? (like so I need squish, or could I bring the hardtail?)

I would vote redrocks out of those two options. But Im iffy this week on if my body will let me ride. I had a hard time standing up for work today. I guess that much time off the bike before a race that you go hard enough that you feel like you are bleeding from your eyes is a bad thing, who would have known. So pick wherever and hopefully I will be able to make it.

I vote for Red Rocks just because I have never ridden that with you guys and I would like to see what you ride there

red rocks sounds good, what an amazing weekend! Thanks to everyone for coming out and supporting us! somethingrelatedtobiking snagged 1st place in the 35+ category, and hitechredneck barely missed the win after takin a fall on mary's. IMO, 2nd place is CRAZY good considering the 3 broken ribs going into the race... wish i was that fast with my ribs intact

I just saw that Kristian and Jaenettes home did burn... In light of the situation and out of respect for them I would say that this weeks ride should probably be canceled...
Sincerely wishing you and yours the best Kman. Inflexables are here for you.

That is really sad to hear. Kristian anything you need let us know will help in any way possible. If you guys do want to cancel tomorrow's ride that is fine with me.

Thanks Keith, but you guys should ride at least. I'm out this week, but I look forward to riding again soon (I'll need it). I might need to borrow a bike though...

Name any of my bikes and its a done deal. Its the least I can do. Anything else at all you need and just name it.

What are you guys thinking for today? Did anyone still want to ride, or should we pass tonight? I'm up for riding since I'll be in MI next week. If people don't feel like riding I might just hit Ute this evening.

Sorry to hear about your house, Kristian. I know we haven't met (yet), but I follow the weekly ride discussions...in hopes of joining you guys sometime. If you (or your family) need a hand with anything (or need to borrow a bike to get out with the guys), PM me.

I just got back from Ute and that smoke is everywhere. The stuff from Black Forest and Canyon City are surrounding the Springs. I think I'm out tonight.

The air quality index is kinda poor right now (duh), so I am reluctantly out.

    Springs Evening Ride 6/12/13

So is tonight a go or no go?

Edit: I have decided I am riding. So I will be at rudys at 6 if anyone cares to join let me know. Not sure how long I will be out, but I need a ride and not going to let some pesky smoke stop me. I smoked for too many years to let this amount stop me.

It was just me and rcjones tonight so we said F it and ripped up section 16 instead of xc laps around red rocks. Was a super fun ride, wish more would have made it.

Glad you guys got out and the smoke cleared up. I think I rode Ute at the worst time yesterday, the winds had smoke from both fires coming in. Section 16 would have been fun but going to Great Storm Brewing wasn't a bad backup plan. It was nice to get in some air conditioning.

I hope everyone stays safe up north.
