    Spring camping ride

    Hey fellas, so this is my first post on the site. I moved here a little over a year ago but had to sell my bike when I first got here. I plan on buying a bike over the winter and want to make a solo ride/camping trip next spring. I need advice on the best trail system to ride and camp that won't be too taxing on me during the day. Any help is welcomed!

    If you pick a time frame, folks could give you an idea on what's available with regard to snow cover. Offhand it sounds like some lower elevation riding would be up your alley. Salida area or Gunnison area might work for you.

    18 road area in Fruita around Spring break is usually just drying out for car camping anyway

    I'll most likely go late March into April. Salida/Gunnison area is too far away for me and 18 road might be pushing how far I want to drive. Anything closer to Fort Collins/Boulder area?

    Lake Pueblo State Park? XC loops for putting on miles, techy stuff in the canyons. Trail conditions updated frequently at the following website:
