This was disturbing, so - did a little research - scooter916 has a join date earlier than our own PBR_me - do we need to string up Kevin instead - let me know quickly - I may see him later today.

I cannot believe a thread could last this long on low-brow booze! Yes, beer is too high of a word for this softball swill.

However that said, I do look forward to softball season.

Used to drink it in '83-'86 while tubing down the salt river in Arizona. Really cheap. Really bad.
    Anyone else had it?

Falstaff Beer...I remember being underage on the way to a baseball game and throwing out a 12-pack of it in a vacant lot near Tiger stadium in Detroit...it was so bad even we wouldn't drink it.

    Mmmmm Falstaff.

The first whole beer I ever drank was a Falstaff given to me by my grandfather. I was probably twelve or so at the time. Maybe younger. It was a "mini" grenade style bottle, probably 8 ounces or so. I remember drinking it in plain view of my parents and all my aunts and uncles and cousins and being amazed that no one was taking it away from me.

This is the worst beer I ever drank though:

Found 2 cans of this in the bottom of a dingy cooler in a liquor store in Phoenix back in '85. Never tasted it, just bought it to save. It was already dusty at the time in the store - don't know how long it had been in there. Still has a pull tab opener! Brewed by Pearl Brewing Company in San Antonio.
Excuse the neglected/dusty desk and monitor stand!

The M*A*S*H beer is hilarious. I found something along those lines years ago on a beach - well - sorta. It was a jar of moonshine washed up by a hurricane. Damn thing broke this year!

Heh...two beers I will forever associate with Tally. Gosh, the best thing going beer-wise there was Sierra Nevada, however, sharing a pitcher of PBR over a pie from here; covered in garlic, Bradley's sausage and sun dried tomatoes, mmmm, can't be beat.

I've the Tallahassee Democrat jingle stuck in my head now.

Two beers that we consumed regularly in college ... budget and all...

Also used to drink "Pilsner Club" - god-awful swill but it came in those little grenade-style bottles with the rebus puzzles under the cap. Going price in Ft.Collins circa 1990 was approx. $4/12 pk. Can't find a picture tho ... likely shut down by the FDA

In this case its a bit lower of a representation in line of life. Its a deity (picture) to the earth (internet) to manifest shape (show some sort of personality) the incarnation of a god (internet junkie/mt biker).

Man, the internet sure F'd that one up didn't it?
You have just been mentally Rick Roll'd. Yup you're thinking about it right now aren't you? Don't fight it.

We drank a lot of Rhinelander back in the day. I always though that if that beer was as refreshing as the great Northwoods that the great Northwoods must not be so great. (No offense Ithnu. I've been up thataway and it is very nice.) That did not keep us from drinking it.

We regularly found one or two beers per case of Rhinelander that hadn't managed to be filled all the way to 12 ounces. Sometimes they were half full..

We also drank 9-0-5 beer a few times (sold at 9-0-5 liquor stores) which gave your poop a white tinge. That was strange, especially the first time.

I may have had a sip when it first came out. I remember my dad getting a 6 pack as a joke and if he did he probably would have let me try it but I don't have a clear memory of it. I blame all the Rheinlander that came later..

Back in '84 it was close to $4 a case. My college roommates would always return from trips back home (WI) with the back seat full of cases of Rhinelander and Lienenkugel.
