    Snow on Green Mtn?

I have just over 2 inches at the house here in Conifer, did enough snow fall on Grn Mtn to prevent a post work ride?

(given my abysmal performance at Mt. Falcon, I need more saddle time)

no, not really. I participated in the Rex Patrick memorial ride on Sat., on the climb up from Morrison, there was quite a bit of snow on the north facing sections, completely snowed in thru the trees. There was alot of hike-a-bike involved.

I would say less then 1/2 of snow on GM. Just took a peek out my office window (live and work GM area) and the snow is gone off the grassy area around my office. GM is covered in clouds right now (and see some snow). May clear later!

could be muddy, due to the 2+ inches we received Saturday night and another 1" or so last night. Though I did take my dogs for a walk on the Bear Creek trails yesterday and they were not muddy.

it's definitely messy. I'd give it 2 sunny days before rideable again. I live across the street from GM. lots-o-mud.

yeah, I passed on it for today, never was sunny nor warm enough in my opinion to clear it up, given the reports.
    Thanks.

Those that turned back missed out, parmalee was actually in great shape, couple snowy patches, but dry otherwise. Only the snowfield to cross on meadow trail. Near the shelter is still snow covered but is a good challenge to stay upright!

    Green Mtn Update

Rode yesterday PM, the C470 lot had less than a dozen cars, all dry, no mud found.
only a couple of low spots were damp enough to leave partial tread imprints.

Hey bt...I live up in Evergreen right on 3 Sisters. We should meet up for a ride once the snow is gone. Or a ride down this way, I work in Golden. I just bought a new bike (Trance X2) and need to get out!

I rode GM last night... perfect conditions...
We did however get a sprinkling of wet snow overnight... not real significant...

drove over to GM thursday late afternoon hoping it would be dry despite the rain/snow mix we had.
walked up the trail from the rooney road lot - it was pretty muddy (should have known when i didn't see a single car in the parking lot) so i went home and drank some beer.
looking to try again this PM - if anyone makes it out @ lunch please post a report on conditions. thanks.

GM is rideable. I live on the north side and the singletrack is tacky at best. Drove over to the south side and both singletrack on each side is dry!!

    Have FUN!!!

Not like you need the info anymore, but I figured I'd chime in (since I went and rode it just for your sake and all )that the trails were perfect all around as of 12:30 or so today.
    Now with more vitriol!

can anyone near GM give a report on conditions? i suspect it's either still got snow on it or is wet but figured someone might have a first-hand report. thanks.

Looks like most of the snow has melted... We got some real heavy wet stuff... not too much though.

I'm thinking it might be a little mucky tonight. If we get some wind, the sun should dry it all out tomorrow.

Should be sweet for the weekend fo sure...
