Slow ride this evening or tomorrow

I will be riding after work today, and tomorrow with a friend most likely. Just seeing if anyone else wants to as well. It's pretty much the first ride of the season for me, so my lungs and legs are going to suck it hard.

I wouldn't call myself a noob on the trails, but definitely out of shape.
I was thinking Bear Creek, Green Mountain, or Lair of the Bear. Not sure I have the stamina for anything steeper.

Everyone here is a badass, but there has to be some out of shape lurkers who just need a bit of motivation to start getting into biking shape for the summer!

Gonna go park at the lower lot at Red Rocks, climb Matt Winters then head over to Dakota Ridge after work tonight...

Someone who can do the MW/DR loop is NOT an out of shape lurker!

DR doesn't sound like much fun to me for a season opener..Haha...F that trail!

Love me some technical trails like Apex or White Ranch, but DR is just overkill. :-)

I've never ridden DC, but I will put it on the list of to do's. Is there a google map link to the trailhead/parking lot?

Turns out I can take half a day off, so we're going to do GM in an hour or so.

I just read the singletrack reviews...lol...you and your beginning season rides Andy! Geez.

Did DC last Sun, after bailing on Funrover's IC ride. Felt like I did an hour-long track stand as slow as I was going... But a 22T ring + 36T big cog...I think the hikers were laughing at my speed as they passed me...

We just missed each other Bacon Boy! I was just starting the Red Loop as you guys finished the 1st lap. I met Bad Andy and the Giant on their 2nd lap.

What time of the day roughly does southbound C470 turn into a clogged ****-pipe? I started from Golden at 4:50 to shoot for a meet at 5:30, figuring doubling the amount of a Sunday morning transit time to the park. I didn't even get past Morrison by 5:20!?

    WTF?!? Goddamit.

On a positive note - DC was *deserted*. I came across precisely 0 people coming up the trail on my descent from Plymouth Mt all the way to the bottom gulch.

C470 from 70 to Morrison is always a cluster from 5-6, more so last night as there were HS graduations at Red Rocks last night.

I happily drive home northbound at 70mph and see the parking lot every day.
