Singletrack after dark: what is legal Boulder County-ish?

We are new to mountain biking the front range this year (and having a blast!).

    So far we've really enjoyed riding: Marshal Mesa area/the Betasso loops/Rabbit Mountain/Heil/Ponderosa/wild turkey/Picture Rock/bitterbush/nelson loop/Devils Backbone....
We have yet to make it over to Walker Ranch and a few others that are nearby we haven't tried yet.

With this heat and our work schedules we've been wanting to do some after dark riding (we have good light setups) but I think that I read somewhere that all Boulder County open space is closed after dark (?).

Does anyone have suggestions of any singletrack we can ride after dark in Boulder County? If not Boulder ... where would be the next closest (live near Hygene)

    thanks in advance,
    Ed

Marshal Mesa is open until 10pm, you can also ride most of the bike legal trails by the Boulder Reservoir, other than that I am pretty sure you have to hit up forest service stuff mentioned above.
    Feels like an Arby's night.

Legally your only options for night riding in Boulder county are OSMP (city of Boulder) and USFS properties. BCPOS (Boulder county) properties are off limits, specifically Walker, Heil, Hall, Betasso, and Rabbit Mountain.

This answer is likely unhelpful if you're not familiar with what properties are managed by what agency, which can be confusing, but to be safe it's smart to learn. As mentioned, USFS is a great option for night riding. Marshall Mesa and Boulder Valley Ranch are managed by OSMP and are good choices too.

Excellent point with the 10 PM curfew, this is also potentially confusing. OSMP does indeed have a curfew that prohibits parking at a trail head after 10 PM, however it's fine to ride OSMP trails anytime. So, just ride from home, or if you don't live in Boulder just park somewhere else and ride in.
