    Single Speed Group Ride

it has died out in recent weeks due to weather but when it gets warm again we will be doing single speed sundays again for sure. we had a few really great turn outs and we are just trying to spread the word basically.

single speed sundays is a FUN paced ride leaves from DOGTOOTH COFFEE located at 505 East Columbia St.(corner of columbia and corona) at 10:00 am every Sunday.

THIS IS NOT A HAMMER-FEST. WE ARE OUT TO HAVE FUN (and by fun we mean lots of climbing)

we don't want to exclude people but there are plenty of geared group rides around the springs thats why we started a single speed specific ride. no one will chase you off or clown you out but it would be nice if we just had single speeds show up.

What if I were to remove my front and rear ders, shorten my chain, and then pump my shock up to like 400 pounds so the chain wouldn't flex.

It would be like a Nomad ninja kinda like a single speed...on steroids...

OK, I will make my one and only post in this thread and attempt to represent the thoughts of others in a less sarcastic manner.

Drivetrain restrictions on a group ride!
Why would you even care about such a silly thing?
We all ride mountain bikes and occasionally enjoy the company of others will riding said bikes. Isn't that all that really matters?

holy crap did "blue monday" get to this forum or what. they already said to show up on a geared bike if you want... this is about the coolest ride around, so show up if you want or go do your own thing. as far as i know this isn't the first single speed specific ride to be posted on this forum. so what is with all the salty attitude? what about this, what about that....? just put on a happy face and come out and ride.
