    shuttling Batasso?

I think I've seen it all. Not really but dang

On my way home from my ride I passed the connector trail parking area and there was a big truck with about 7 bikes and riders loading up the shuttle. What's it, like a 2 minute run?

I think I lol'd then threw up a little in my mouth.

    Hey, wait a minute.
    I have shuttled Betasso before.

Yep, rode from work, up the link trail, did some loops and my wife who just wanted to do loops picked me up for dinner.

But normally I do super-Betasso. Or whatever.

But I think nOOby what you are saying is people were shuttling the link trail....and yes, very lame. It's not even that interesting of a DH run for 2 minutes.

But then I'm a trail snob and in Boulder what else is there to do? People are shutting the creek path as far as I know.

I am fine with people shuttling the Betasso connector loop. It is a short trail, not sure if its really worth it...

I have to add that when I shuttled it, I was not wearing body lycra and full face sunscreen, but I was on a six inch travel bike.

We've shuttled the connector trail before....if you start in the back parking lot you can add a couple more minutes to your run. It's super short but fun and we can get early morning runs in before work.

It is short, but on off days it can be good DH training. Its not like there is an abundance of places to shuttle DH runs in boulder anyway....

    Training for what?

Shuttling a lame DH is like masterbation. It might feel good, but there is no real passion involved. Do you masterbate to train for sex?

And just the same, I would never admit I shuttled Betasso.

i just dont see the problem with it. If people want to ride there on Weds and Saturday...what is wrong with that. I am not trying to say its the best trail in the world, but being this is Boulder...I just dont see how its a big deal? And if you can point out some "non-lame" DH's that people can shuttle, then people won't bother with the link trail!

I haven't shuttled it.. but I would. Why is it lame? You have great visibility down the trail so if you can catch a day it's fairly empty you can get some good flow. Nailing the last third while cranking in your big ring is a great suspension test no matter what line you take. If it's lame then you weren't going fast enough.

When the loop is closed, it is generally pretty clear from what I can tell. The last third is pretty rocky and by no means lame if you hit it fast enough!
