shoot, I went to Moab and all I got were a bunch of pictures of people...

    eating a peepwich

    <a href="http://picasaweb.google.com/hillaryseminick/Moab3292008/photo?authkey=jX0b6OF5UP0#5184106458837010658"><im g src="http://lh6.google.com/hillaryseminick/R_GlW5TJyOI/AAAAAAAAHbM/e13wrnpaKZ8/s400/IMG_4871.jpg" /></a>
    photo:icegeek

the ghost in me (and nickle)

    <a href="http://picasaweb.google.com/hillaryseminick/Moab3292008/photo?authkey=jX0b6OF5UP0#5184106506081650946"><im g src="http://lh5.google.com/hillaryseminick/R_GlZpTJyQI/AAAAAAAAHbk/tFLv5qgE-l0/s400/IMG_4873.jpg" /></a>

    photo:icegeek

    a special guest...

    <a href="http://picasaweb.google.com/hillaryseminick/Moab3292008/photo?authkey=jX0b6OF5UP0#5184107021477726802"><im g src="http://lh5.google.com/hillaryseminick/R_Gl3pTJylI/AAAAAAAAHfk/rx52bxRnxy8/s400/IMG_4894.jpg" /></a>

we were all very enthusiastic about riding porc...some more than others

    <a href="http://picasaweb.google.com/hillaryseminick/Moab3292008/photo?authkey=jX0b6OF5UP0#5184106901218642450"><im g src="http://lh5.google.com/hillaryseminick/R_GlwpTJyhI/AAAAAAAAHe0/WrIxtu33YBc/s400/IMG_4890.jpg" /></a>

    took this picture, again.

    <a href="http://picasaweb.google.com/hillaryseminick/Moab3292008/photo?authkey=jX0b6OF5UP0#5184106982823021122"><im g src="http://lh4.google.com/hillaryseminick/R_Gl1ZTJykI/AAAAAAAAHfY/HhRnGIfChwo/s400/IMG_4893.jpg" /></a>

it was about here when we finally stopped long enough to take out a camera

    <a href="http://picasaweb.google.com/hillaryseminick/Moab3292008/photo?authkey=jX0b6OF5UP0#5184107249110993618"><im g src="http://lh6.google.com/hillaryseminick/R_GmE5TJytI/AAAAAAAAHhI/0eCsW8vJlmY/s400/IMG_4902.jpg" /></a>

with the help of a new fork I hope to go from this:

    <a href="http://picasaweb.google.com/hillaryseminick/Moab3292008/photo?authkey=jX0b6OF5UP0#5184108644975365682"><im g src="http://lh3.google.com/hillaryseminick/R_GnWJTJzjI/AAAAAAAAHrw/I5eW6zFMqWk/s400/hill1.jpg" /></a>
    photo:sportsman

    to this:

    <a href="http://picasaweb.google.com/hillaryseminick/Moab3292008/photo?authkey=jX0b6OF5UP0#5184108331442752818"><im g src="http://lh6.google.com/hillaryseminick/R_GnD5TJzTI/AAAAAAAAHos/JFPZLpDE0AM/s400/IMG_4940.jpg" /></a>

and maybe one day I'll be able to ride as fast as her:

    <a href="http://picasaweb.google.com/hillaryseminick/Moab3292008/photo?authkey=jX0b6OF5UP0#5184107957780597874"><im g src="http://lh3.google.com/hillaryseminick/R_GmuJTJzHI/AAAAAAAAHmY/M9cWltPwx54/s400/IMG_4928.jpg" /></a>

Can't wait to go back and have batteries in my camera the whole weekend

Best shots of that particular trip so far! Yes, the other photos are brilliant, too. (No sweat guys.) But you show the most original pictures.

Wish I could have made it!

Looks like a typical Moab trip when the Infookables are invited, broken parts, mangled limbs, you know the usual. Looks like someone has been getting new parts for their Ventana.

I'd trade New Belgium for Ying-ying in a second. Top pick of the indigent yet discerning beer drinker. When I went to Pitt, we'd get a 1/2 barrel of Lager and one of Porter and pour our own Black and Tans. Both kegs together would cost like $100. Mellinger's beer distributor was so close to the house that we could just roll them home.

I also agree that Moab has way better riding than Pittsburgh.

Sweet. I'd switch the chainrings around and use the old ones from your XTs until you get a new chain... unless your drivetrain is fairly new.

Not a bad idea, guess I'll have some spares. I am fairly particular about chain wear though.

Thats a habit I need to get into. I let my chain go too long and toasted my casette and chainrings prematurely. I wonder if VPP stretches chains out faster because of the rearward axle path...
