    Saturday Suffering In Breck?

Anyone up for a long slog up in Breck on Saturday? Thinking 7 to 10 hour ride, moderate pace, taking pictures, route is still up in the air depending on interest, but will involve circumventing Mt. Guyot.

I'd be game for something like that. I'd be coming up from C/S and am happy to give a lift to others. PM me as details get finalized.

Firecracker was good....hard 50 miles for sure.

Route will be some sort of dirt connecting to French gulch > over French > Georgia Pass > CT back to Gold Hill and the car. Will be 45 to 50 mile range. This is a great route one of my favorites up there. So based on mileage time will be between 7 and 8 hours is my guess.

Cool....don't worry about holding me up I am not fast anyway, plus after a couple races recently looking forward to just riding taking some pictures and some of the best single track in the state.

    I'm in

I'll be heading up early from C/S if anyone needs a lift, we've got lots of room. Might convince my g/f to come too.

When and where are we meeting in Breck?

How about 8:00 in the gold hill parking lot. Then we will do some flume trails through gold run and Lincoln park over to French to Georgia and the ct down.

    Gold Hill?

I know I've ridden there, but never parked. Is this on the west side of CO9 a bit north of Breck? I can always get out my map of Breck, or if you can describe where to park that would be great, thanks.

We've been having lots of thunder and rain so watch the weather report. They've been starting early too, before noon.

My recommendation is to leave a car at the bottom of the Gold Dust Trail in Como and start at Kenosha Pass. CO Trail to Middle Fork, up jeep road to top of Humbug Hill, descend Little French Trail to Sally Barber Rd, up Sally Barber & Nightmare On Baldy, across Baldy & Baker's Tank Trail, up Boreas Pass Rd, down Gold Dust Trail. Lots of great singletrack, mileage, elevation with maybe 5mi of dirt road. I'd join if I wasn't racing in Snowmass.
Rontel's been wanting to do this ride. Get him to go and you can be assured of a mellow pace
    Keep the Country country.

I'll be there and planning to be ready to roll at 8am. I'll be riding a silver Pivot 429 and wearing a Pearl Izumi kit.

Hopefully the trail on the Park side of French Pass is more distinct than it was in 1996.

Actually. it's pretty hard to lose the trail these days. It's well used.
