    Saturday rides in FTC?

Anybody riding around fort collins tomorrow? We were supposed to go skiing but my wife came down with a flu bug. If i'm lucky enough to avoid whatever bug she has, I'd like to hit some trails tomorrow before the snows come. I'll probably head to blue sky, devils backbone because I haven't been there yet. Thinking 11am. Anybody interested?

Depends on the pace. My wife wants to go on a long bike ride with me. We might tag along... at least for a little while.

    Where would we start?

I've been hounding my wife to get outside and do SOMETHING vs beatching about her job since she had to go back to work to make ends meet.

Maybe 50-50% we'll be there too at some point.

PS: I had this afternoon off, and except for few, brief, huge, gusts of wind, I can't complain about wearing baggies and a short sleeved shirt in Feb. Oh, and the trails were empty

I don't know where to start. I'd like to try Blue Sky and DBB and that whole area. Where's a good place to start?

I was thinking of starting sometime between 11 and 12.

Ok. I can see two options:

    1) Park Soderberg and do Blue Sky - DBB as an out and back.
    2) Ride the from town. Either road ride to DBB (Loveland) and head back to FTC via DBB/BlueSky - or do an out and back.

My wive and I will probably head for the road/trail loop. Assuming you'll be faster we could meet either on Taft (you catch us on the way to Loveland) or at the DBB parking lot.

Just talked to by better half...

We'll be on the road at 11:00. Route is heading towards Loveland from Taft. Think the gas station JJs at Harmony/Taft and then head south. We can meet at FFs - but I think you'd catch us on the road.

Ok. How about meeting at Harmony/Taft at 11:00? What's FFs?

    Does that work for everybody?

If I don't catch you before Coyote Ridge, I will go up Coyote Ridge / Rimrock and then head south on Blue Sky to meet you on DBB. Which side of Laughing Horse Loop will you ride, East or West?

    P.S. I'll be on a gray MOOTS

Saw you folks out there a few times since our loops were opposing. Nice day for a ride, esp as it cooled down.

That's a pretty good size ride for February. Last time I tried to do that ride I picked up a nice nail in the tire by the landfill. Just curious which gadget you guys are using to make the maps? I want to get one some day.

I usually use a Garmin Forerunner 305, but have used a Garmin eTrex Vista Cx that provides route data, as well.
