Saturday Night: Drinking and Listening to?

Yes, time for this thread again - I find itinteresting to "check the pulse" of our mtbr crew

    For me:
Makers Mark on the rocks and the new Green Day / 21st Century Breakdown
on my second time through and I've got to say these guys have nailed yet another album.
Tasty tracks abound, but my first go-round with "Horseshoes and Handgrenades" was very nice.

Drinking Alaskan IPA, listening to the natural sounds around me. Mostly just hear the people at the bar patio outside my window. I'm debating on going out tonight, because I'm thinking about getting up early to, of course, mountain bike.

Hell yeah! Dale's and Q107 out of Toronto.
Gone are the days we stopped to decide,
    Where we should go,
    We just ride...

I'll play. I'm playing NBA Live on XBox and mostly listening to the sounds of that (other than my neighbors watching a movie and their sub rattling the $&^t out of my ceiling). I pounded out a ride from the apartment, up maxwell, roadie to blue sky, indian summer loop, back on blue sky to the road, and roadie back home. All on a Heckler that I've never weighed, but would be shocked if it's under 30lbs. I'm a little tired from that and just feel like loungin. Cycle computer said 30.5 miles, though I'm starting to question it's accuracy. Oh, I forgot the important part, finishing Old Chub #2 right now. Pretty busy day on Blue Sky, and it's great to see it so green.

I've been drinking old lame Bud but listening to the sound of my tires on the grass and rocks around my house as Mr. Scar has loaned me a set of lights to play with and I couldn't be happier. Oh, now it's Andrew Bird. ( By no means intent to highjack thread).

23 oz Sam Adams, and a plate full of chicken wings at BWW on 64th, then came up to the DUI checkpoint on HW 93 on the way home. 1st time at one of those. I felt and thought I was fine, but sure was nervous pulling up. Officer asked how much I had to drink? I said 1 beer. How long ago? About an hour and a half - You're fine - go on through. Even though I felt fine, and don't think it would have been a problem I think I learned a lesson last night!

So, Sam Adams and watching the Rockies.

    Crap that's scary, Andy

I think it's always best to admit to having ZERO beers, no more.
Saying one beer gives them a reason

Well, its best to not have any, but really....
the drugs made me realize it's not about the drugs

I wasn't sure how to handle it.
I saw it and actually considered turning on the street previous, but luckily, didn't, because right after that, I noticed someone turning around, and a motorcycle cop was on him in a matter of seconds.
It was probably 5 minutes from the time I saw the sign until I was up there (because of the backup), and I was trying to figure out how they may work the checkpoints, as I hadn't heard any stories, usually don't need to worry about that kinda thing! I figured honesty was best, which is my normal mode anyway!
You never know, if you say I have had nothing to drink, do they just breathalize every 3rd one of those people anyway?
I aways felt like I was good to drive having (drunk/drank/drunken? ) 1 or 2 beers, but like I said, I may rethink that now.
It's not smart to drive after drinking ANY alcohol (duh).
