From what I have been told it's a 10 10 P frame. I got the frame at Velo Swap for $50! It's a 15" frame with about a 21-22" top tupe. It did very well on her virgin ride.

    KW,

I was one of the 2 guys heading back toward the parking lot as you were heading out on the back loop. You guys were definitely ready for riding, unlike the high school kids on their Nexts. Do kickstands hinder your clearance...

If you come back again send me a PM I be happy to man the camera ...

    Cool.

The guy from the couple looked like he was having a good time, he even watched us play on some stuff. I bet he ends up buying a new bike... one without a kickstand.

The Backbone is in high rotation this time of year so we'll have to take you up on your offer soon. There's also some other stuff up that way that are fun in the winter.

That definitley looks like some sick, sick riding fellas. Is that a super top secret trail, or can we go shuttle it? (*Just kidding about the shuttle). That up near Boulder? The trail name def.ounds intimidating.

    Well done on the pics.

Up in Loveland, little less than a hour drive from boulder. Some of the sketchyest stuff we didn't take pics of (it was on the DH so not much pics get taken then) off camber turns with a thick ice under a light dusting.

    Shhhh. The Backbone is top-secret
Nice thing about it is that it tends not to hold snow. Riding is pretty much out during this cold snap but I expect things to be up & running on the Bone this weekend.

Get it while you can fellas. Larimer Open Space is closing the northern loops to cyclists next year but will be making a trail extension to Coyote Ridge & Horsetooth Mountain Park. Hopefully the new terrain will be equally technical.

Northern loops? I thought it was just one of the two loops, is it both? Damn....

The crazy thing is that I hardly ever see hikers out on the Northern loop, mainly see them from the parking lot to the start of the first loop.

That's right, both nothern sides of the two back loops - and the extension to the Keyhole will remain hikers only.

We'll be building, then those additional trails that Squeak mentioned to Coyote Ridge/Rimrock Open space in the spring. Keep checking these boards for more info on that later.

KW/ETR, we've started an organization called Mountain High Trail Association to address some of the closure issues at the Backbone and try to be more involved in the local trailbuilding that will be going down in the spring, both out at the Backbone and at Bobcat Ridge in Ft. Collins. You guys might be interested in working with us sometime since you ride so many northern front range trails...

I wish. Got it on Sunday, didn't get to ride Monday then left town for Thanksgiving and just got back Sunday night at 9pm to 9 inches of snow.

I've ridden around the neighborhood some to get the setup in the ballpark, but neighborhood path riding isn't a test by any stretch. If DB is dry enough to make a run this weekend, I'll be there.
