    San Rapheal's Swell

Three days in Green River, Utah.

    Over two snowy passes.

    vail pass

Lucked out with a random route through Rabbit Valley. easy, flowy, techy singletrack with little moto traffic

    rabbit valley 3

These cool kids were covering the crypto with their day-glow color.

    little flowers

Saturday we looped past Swayze cabin through Eagle's Canyon.

    fat arch

Was also able to ride the Black Dragon Canyon.

    shuttle boot

Great time, plus the ride time to travel time ratio was almost 2:1

Lies and Photoshop! The Swell is a horrible, desolate, bleak desert. No reason for anyone to head there. Wise folks should definitely stick to Fruita and Moab.

Nice pic of your thumb and the little yellow guys, my kind of shot! The Swell will never be in danger of being overrun by bikers as it's just too out of the way and tough to navigate (not really but not laid out like for folks going to Moab et al). Spectacular in spots, desolate as a sumb!tch in others.

The most 99% of people driving on I70 see of the Swell is the view from the highway. "Wonder what's over there?" they might wonder as they drive past.

Thanks golden boy. We did a shuttle for the route through Black Dragon and managed to get three bikes and seven tires in the back, plus five riders in the front.

And those little flowers covered the ground in the thousands and will probably only last until the next heat wave. Lucky to have seen them.

Nice way to get the $/mile down on the fatty. I didn't know it had twisty shifty bits on it, or is that not your bar in the first pic.

I cant wait for the price of the sram twisty bits to come down for my x10. I really like twisty shifty bits. My old 3x8 had them.

Looks like some nice riding there. I'll have to give it a try. My only time in the swell thus far has been at Little Wild Horse Canyon.

I lost all the pics I took in Little Wild Horse to a hard drive crash years ago. Great user-friendly accessible introduction to slot canyons.
