    Rollins Pass and running bear

Hit the high country yesterday - posted photos in the HIGH country thread. A couple here.Rollins Pass and running bear-jaz_2469c_1024-1.jpg

Riding back up from Jenny Creek towards Eldora I was zipping along silently when I saw something black up ahead. Is that a bear? Got a bit closer - yes it is. He saw me and started running up the trail. No time to get my camera out.

I attempted a ride on Jenny Creek once in 2001, the same week I got my first full suspension bike. I remember it being awesome, got lost as all get out, wound up coming all the way into Boulder via Magnolia and going straight to Walnut Brewery. Was it Walnut Brewery? Is that a thing that exists? I can't even remember... anycrap we had to call a buddies wife to drive up from Lakewood to scoop us up and take us back up to our car. That wasn't the first or last time I got lost following Corky's directions and not bringing a map, that's for sure. I need to get back up there... dammit man, there are just so many trails!

    Thanks for the stoke, man!
The older I get, the faster I was.

I realize it was a bit of a tease mentioning a bear in the title and not having a shot of one - he was too fast.
But I can show a pic I took of a bear just a week before in Montana. He's running too. I probably missing crossing paths with him by 5 minutes.

Yes, the Walnut Brewery is in downtown Boulder, it's the first of the Rock Bottom chain.
