Any ideas on what excuse to tell the wife so one might be able to go on one's wedding anniversary ?

I don't think there's an excuse ever written that would cover the "anniversary" bail out.

Not even..."Honey, let's go to dinner and a movie - I found this really creative, artistic and moving movie about the adventures of a boy and his beautiful steed. The cinemetography is outstanding and it's a VERY limited release. Probably won't even make it into any of the mainstream movie houses".

As soon as you arrived and the flick started...you'd pretty much be dead meat.

It's all about the priorities mate, and if you think having a healthy marriage is more important than the screening of a mountain biking flick, then ok, not my life
