    Roadie Porn

Yeah yeah, i know, mtn bike forum.....Look, I report the news, that's what I do. And today's top story...in Nufenstein's world read something like this-- I love my new roadie...

    D-Ace 10 speed Sti shifters
Ultegra everything else (wheels, cranks, derails, etc.)
    Cane Creek Brakes
    hutchinson racin' tires

If anyone has an extra set of ritchey peloton cleats I would greatly appreciate a PM. THANKS!

Looks big, dang is that a 61cm?

That would look pretty sweet with a white saddle.

Cane Creek SCR-5s? I have the black versions and I think they are great, underrated that's for sure. I wasn't impressed with the pads though so I changed them out for some kool stops.

How does a college student swing a frame like that?

Seriously, you should see what I call a road bike. It's an amalgam of whatever I could find and weighs as much as some xc bikes. It does get me to and from work; so it does serve its intended purpose.

58cm, XL, looks big in picture form, but in real life she is svealt....i am actually considering putting a WTB pure slt seat (white) on her. Anyone have experience running a mtn bike freeride saddle on a roadie?

unsure on the gearing, just picked it up from the builder yesterday. The parts a new (season old) parts....anyone gander a guess on the price?

I think the tall headtube threw me off a bit, it's probably a slightly more upright position then, good for long days in the saddle. Price? Well I can't quite tell what cockpit components you have, but I will assume you got a steal on it and paid $1400.

When it comes to roadies, yes.

Oh and I can't forget cyclocross. I don't wanna see any of that crap here either. If I wanted to see a roadie/dirt combo I'd hang out with the Cult Cross guys, not hang out on a mountain bike forum.

I think they might be runnin a shuttle up to the top of lookout this weekend for those of you with those heavy long travel bikes not willing to pedal up the hill. Oh yeah I hope I don't offend anyone on this forum if i'm out on the roadie instead of riding muddy trails...

Don't instill futile hope, please. That thought is just too nice to be a tease. A shuttle and a direct connection to Apex... Wow, a dream come true.

No, quite the oposite. You blocking the trail in your wussy spandex would be an offense. Very considerate of you to stay on the road. THANKS! I did not believe you could be so nice,

Does anyone else have a problem with the OP claiming "bike porn" and then posting a picture of an aluminum bike made in China or Cambodia? Porn should be reserved for titanium, carbon fiber, or custom steel ONLY. American or Canadian origin should be required also. Maybe Italian. Pffff.

I guess it's roadie bike porn for recreational riders

OP forgot the deep section carbon tubies.
    stem needs to be flipped.
saddle belongs on a mt. bike.
    fork is ancient

just kidding OP, you're out there and that's all that matters. BTW any real roadie, i.e. one that races has way more fitness than most mt. bikers I've seen.

Yeah it's pretty hit or miss.

Although racing in the P1-2 class I have seen some amazing handling skills on display in crits and have ridden with many of these guys who can shred the gnar.

Oh Shiite! Why didn't you say so to begin with. If they can race P1-2 and "shred the gnar, gnar" well they are up there with the likes of Tomac, Lopes, Hill et al... No resume required.

I'm not trying to disrespect the OP. He probably rides the damn thing and that's what matters. It just caught me off guard a bit. I was expecting a hand painted Vanilla with solid gold lugs or something. If I wanted to see a $500 road bike I'd go look in my garage!

This is more along of the lines of "the bike next door" roadie porn. To each their own.
