RMH 06 - trolling for locations

So I'd like to be democratic about this, even though there seems to be a push for Salida. What location would you like to see the RMH 06 gathering at? And don't be the wanker to create two ids just to vote twice. Also, DON'T vote if you know you fer sure won't be attending.

Next post will be a date selection one so start thinking.

Oh yeah, and thanks to JasonB for stepping up as a the co-organizer!

Damnit Kirk! I'm a Doctor, not a party coordinator!!!

Salida or are your referencing that with the Poncha Springs entry?

Must go and create new user name now.....

Voted Breck because of the shorter drive from Fort Collins, but would be happy with any. Second choice is Poncha / Salida / BV area.

D - any of the above.

RMH = rocky mountain high gathering
    Link from last year:

If I were to take the time to search there's probably a thread or two with pics in it as well...

    Gaaah.

I already voted "Other" for Salida (I guess Poncha would have worked). I thought it would be same time as last year which would be perfect. Anything else gets dicey for me. Let us know the dates - that's key for me.

Too far for a N "Front Range" person

5-6 hrs drive from Ft. Collins.

    I'd say Breck, but I can't commit until I see a date.

Haven't enough "important people" voted for Salida/Poncha Springs yet?

What if I could procure the Bionicon trailer for shuttling purposes for the Monarch Crest? Would that seal the deal?

Yesterday was kinda damp on the MCT, so it's just as well you stayed home. By pure happenstance, we're in the same shuttle vehicle as DWF and Godzilla, driving up into the rain and clouds, and I'm thinking "these guys are smarter than me, and they're not worried about the weather...." I've never been so cold on a bike in my life, but NuMexDonna says she had fun.
    - Joe (who's got a lot of bike maintenance to address in the next few days)

p.s. If an interloper like me gets a vote, I vote for Poncha Springs/Salida/BV, but any road trip is a good road trip.

It was good seeing you, Joe - NuMex Donna is quite the rider, we were keeping a decent pace for awhile there up top.

    My vote goes for Salida.

    Godzilla has spoken.

Damp? Really? You got rained on? After you guys bailed, Josh and I kept going. The sun came out, it was in the mid-70's, birds were chirping, and we were completely dry all the way back to Ponch. Here's proof:

    Poncha

I'm not important, and the dates might not work for me, but maybe some more pix will help sway the vote. From the Monarch Crest on July 2. Heavy rain all around but we managed to miss it.

The guy who bailed down the road at Marshall Pass got as muddy as the other pix. 2 of us went for more singletrack and found a lush forest with plenty of yellow flowers.

Yes, there's a "trail" through that talus.

Salida! Salida! Should we cut the location debate short and move onto the date decision. That might be a harder one to get nailed down.
