    Ride Friday?

Looks to be the *slightly* warmer/sunnier of the next two days. Not sure i'f I'll take the big or little bike.

Thinking a nice combo of up chimney-------->down through Apex------->over on the road to Dakota/MW/Red Rocks for a loop------->back to the car at the bottom of Chimney by the road.

Say 10AM at the lot/pullout at the bottom of Chimney Gulch?

If anyone knows if any of that stuff is too horrible right now to ride, post up and let it be known.

i rode apex on sunday. i looked at the entire trail and the worst section(s) were down the gulley (ice and mud) and the enchanted forest. the portion you would ride down had some thick ice that needed some time and warmer weather. good luck.

New location: parking lot between Green Mtn. and the hogback MW trail, at the bottom of Zorro. 10AM. A loop or three of the MW/RedRocks stuff. I'll be bringing the new, big bike. Just to see how much it really makes me suffer on the climbs.

It sounds like parts of Chimney are bad/good, and that much of the main stuff of Apex is still icy/slimy, so I'll skip that stuff.

    so how much rain?

did things get down there around golden, any of you down that way care to share?

think it'll be dry enough for a 10AM ride time tomorrow morning?

grrrrr. maybe i'll just have to go play on the snowshoes out sourdough way.

edited to add: blech. grey foggy crap; i'll stay up here and ride instead of driving south.

Rained part of the evening last night in Golden. Just enough to make all the bare ground sticky, still looked wet this morning. Like the kind that rolls up around your tires.

    Cheers,
