    Rampart Reservoir after the fire

Rode Rampart Res today it was recently opened after being closed nearly a year due to the Waldo Canyon fire.
The South shoreline trail was around 75% burned from the dam to the west. Fortunately the final 1/2 mile through the thick trees was spared.
Moonscape views surround the trail and a big surprise the water is nearly full. Much of the trail has gullies from the runoff or man made to control run off and much
of the trail has filled in with sediment that buffed out the surface. It is still a great ride and life is coming back quickly.

As you can see I'm no expert at posting pics but here they are

Yeah, it really doesn't take long for life to return following a fire. It's only when people and their possessions get in the mix that wildfires become "tragedies".
