Hey guys, I hope it's cool if I put this up here. If not just boot it. But we are holding an event for First Descents, a charity that gets young adults with cancer out mountain biking and into the outdoors. Really great charity. And if you missed Race Across the Sky, this is a great chance to come see it! Got a bunch of stuff to give away as well.
Here is a little writeup:
Join us for an evening of exciting and inspirational documentaries, hot-ticket raffle prizes and (hopefully) the copious raising of funds! $10 suggested donation at the door includes one raffle ticket (but you can always buy more!). Prizes include goodies from Great Divide Brewery, NoLove Skateboarding, Citizen Pictures, First Descents, and more!
Back Story: Race Across the Sky 2010 is a feature-length documentary about last year's exciting Leadville Trail 100 Mountain Bike Race. (Check out the trailer here: www.raceacrossthesky.com) Fred Bohm is crazy enough and committed enough to ride this grueling 104-mile race this year, and he's doing so with Team First Descents. First Descents is a Colorado-based non-profit that runs adventure camps for young adults with cancer. For more info: www.firstdescents.org
Note: The Bug Theather is a great non-profit community theater that also relies on our support. Be sure to bring extra cash and your photo ID to take full advantage of their concession stand, wine and Breckenridge Brewery beer selection!
