Pueblo Was Rideable (with too many pictures)...

I woke up early Sunday morning and headed South. Got on the trail before 10am and cruised around the reservoir.

Tried to hit Voodoo and got all the way to the water crossing and decided to turn around

Outer Limits welcomed me with open arms

    What an ugly day

I hate my bike and every place it takes me

    I like getting technical...

Hey, wait a minute! Isn't that Nickle?

I don't think you're gonna fit in there...

WTF?! JasonB is here also? Hittin the keyhole!

    Wheelie!

Did someone say, "Nose wheelie" ?!

And we're off to the next canyon...

JasonB and Nickle are most definitely NOT looking for a good line.

AnthonyS and crd make a guest appearance (note the only picture where crd isn't flipping me the bird)

AnthonyS showing me the line I should take

JasonB gives me an optional line to try

    It's a bird! It's a plane! It's nomad_rdr jumping a Sloan.

I thought FrontRanger was the only one who stuck his tongue out at me?!

    JasonB feeling the flow

    Nickle is cleared for take-off

    Back at the parking lot

Time to head North to Denver. I have some good memories of some fun trails with some great company. Pueblo might be in my rear-view mirror, but I'll be back again soon!

Thanks to everyone for a fun ride! If anyone still would like to see more pictures from today (as if) the link is below:

Oh, now I have some names for the faces. I was the guy riding up the ramp on Keyhole (in the blue jersey) when you guys were riding down it. I think we ran into each other later at the top of Broken Hip and then back down Skull Canyon. Now I know why you were all standing around down there when I came thru.

Hey John, we need more posts just like this!

Way to pull a picture story together. I know you keep downplaying your picture taking ability but I think these are great.

Wow... Thanks Ed. And tell your "guy" I want some of what you're smokin'!! Seriously, I appreciate your praise. I still have tons to learn. I don't photoshop my pics afterwards - I just post them. I am always shooting in auto mode. It's embarrassing how little I know about photography. I have promised myself to take a class this year, so expect better stuff in the future!

Hey, good to see you guys. Btw, I was quite impressed by the Hans Rey impression going up Broken Hip.

I wish I had JasonB's style. In every picture, he looks like a total biking badass.

JSD303, it was awesome running into you, dude. Thanks for being photo happy and catching a shot proving that my tires actually do leave the ground once in awhile... even if it is very seldom.

BonkedAgain, it was good to finally put a face with a name. You're a Springs resident, correct?

It was my pleasure to take pictures of you badasses! Anytime you need someone to tagalong (run sweep) on rides to "document" the sweetness, you let me know!

Yup, that's where I hang. I haven't managed to drag myself out to any of the local MTBR group rides because, well, I generally don't like big group rides... But, I may yet shed my loner antisocial attitude and actually show up for some rides sometimes.

As painful as it is for me to agree with Ed I have to concur -- great shots. I especially like this shot of Nickle from your Flickr gallery:

I need to be hurt more often -- people are gratuitously complimentary. I would gladly trade style for some of your SKILL. Graciously missing from these pictures are the dabs, wobbles, and the ever-so-graceful pope kissing the ground move that I performed at the bottom of the second Steep & Tech switchback. Thanks to all for a great day back on the dirt.

John, that's a pretty cool shot dude... but my mug kinda kills it though.

Just like David Allan Coe's theorem of the perfect country and western song, that day had nearly all of the elements of the perfect group ride. We needed Ed and Jeny to make it hurt a bit more. And our post ride performance could be shored up a bit. Let's keep trying!

No, no we didn't. While I like riding with them and they are 100% pure awesomeness, there was no need for more hurts. What's wrong with you, boy?

I had a cooler full of Laughing Lab in the truck that we never even opened the lid to. What's wrong with us, boys?
