    Pint to Pint (w/pix)

Oh, yeh, what an concept: start at a brewery, drink a pint, then ride 20 miles to another brewery, and drink another pint. Don't forget that 1/2 point, where there was a beer stop. It just happened to be a gorgeous day in the front range area, so there was an excellent turnout ~35 cyclist, some in costume!

It was nice meeting some of you! I had a blast, once I got over the puke phase (at the top of apex) PM me for high-res photos...

JasonB, what do you have between your legs?

    We even had number plates!

    Our fearless organizer

    Inquisitive listeners

    A tasty amber at ironworks!

    Almost time to giddy up!

After a tough couple of climbs, I finally pulled the camera out of the bag to snap a pix

    Ouch, the push...

JDS was riding on a super loose crank arm! I was wondering why he didn't want to pass me...

Ahhhh......the finish in Golden! I was always treated to a fill up on my pint! Thanks guys!!

    beauty

Ohhhh and the recaps! I loved hearing everyones stories! Until next time...

Thanks H for the shuttle back to Ironworks! I was on a deadline, and you saved my butt...

In that last picture, it looks like that fellow may be indulging himself to more than a pint...

Oh I know. I just wanted everyone to be aware that contrary to the picture above I am actually borderline "too skinny".

    A few pics from yesterday

    Getting ready for fun!

    Ready for some action!

    The 'unofficial' number plate

There was no shortage of climbing! Or descending for that matter!

Ed representing on the Voodoo hardtail!

These two poor cats had bad luck all day with broken chains and flat tires galore. But still had lots of fun!

Almost there! (notice that other 'local' brewery sign in the background)

We were some of the last to roll in thanks to my superior climbing skills

The reward and energy boost to make it the last 10 miles back to the car

    What a fun day!

Were you in that small group that I led erroneously to a barbed-wire-topped gate and then had to backtrack to squeeze through a fence? If so, I'm sorry we didn't officially "meet."

What were you riding? Did I catch your bike when we were pitching them over the fence? I was on a decrepit old NRS.

I have a feeling that exit is generally much less adventurous...

Next time everyone gets name tags; including alias, kind of bike, political affiliation, religion, favorite color, number of children, ssn, mother's maiden name, address, dog's name, make and model of first car (because now it's undoubtedly an outback or other soooby variant), preferred adult beverage, shoe size, hometown and real name.

Nice shots from a very memorable day. 75 degrees on Nov. 1st, 6 hours of sleep, 2 shots of Hornitos at the start, the world's hottest green chile and a pint at the finish, new friends made and 10 hours of sleep last night!

First car? Nawwww... nobody has a Scooby as their first car.

Mine was a '76 Buick Electra 225 hardtop.

    Mine was red.

Alright, you clearly did not understand what I said. Or I wasn't clear.

There would be no point in listing your current car as it would not distinguish you from anyone else on the FR. Kinda like saying, I've a 575 or something like that.

I still cannot believe you're not some sort of bot.

That was you SS? I was the one on the 40 pound beast with the stylin plaid shorts jumping fences with you. Sorry I didn't get a chance to meet by mtbr handle.

Now that I re-read it sober you were perfectly clear. Drunk reading apparently not such a great idea.
