I'm up for it! Assuming it get at least one freakin' bike put together...everything is in pieces in my garage right now. I have 5 bikes and the only one that is rideable right now is my road bike

If it comes down to it, I'll put some old DH wheels on my Enduro <--as if I wasn't slow enough climbing already.

I'm gonna skip... heading to Moab Friday morning... until Monday evening.

Just checked... looks like some $hitty weather for the trip. http://forecast.weather.gov/MapClick...2=-109.549&e=0

I haven't met any of you guys, thought I've probably passed or been passed by some of you on the trail. I'd definitely be game for a ride. I haven't had a chance to get out for any nightrides since I've been in Denver, which is about a year. Anyways, please post the meeting place when there's a consensus.
    Cheers!

I dig Ironworks and the Thu rides. I'll try not to make up my own silly loops either. That wind made me delirious. I could have sworn I was following you guys.

Anyway, I'm out this Thu. I'm with SkaredShtles...heading to Moab early on Fri and have to get stuff ready. I'll read all about it on Mon and be at IW next Thursday.

tonite was 55 degrees, full moon broke thru cloud cover, was psyched for the GM nite ride - but the wind literally blew me down, twice. felt like 40 mph constant with 50+ mph gusts. on the plus side, adds some tech to GM, and you don't need to peddle on the rim trail headed east.

    let it snow.

True story...I get out of work at 4. What else do you expect me to do while I wait for everyone else and my bike. I'll probably get 6 flat tires before we're out of the parking lot anyway and just have to park myself at the bar while you all ride...

I will indeed be okay... seeing as I'm now parked in Grand Junk, safely 250 miles west of you nutjobs. By the time y'all are grinding up the Rox, I expect to be savoring a can o' Dale's after riding the Ribbon and Gunny Loop this afternoon. Enjoy the breeze tonight!

I saw the wind alert too, this is from 9news

Strong westerly winds with speeds over 30 mph will develop along the Front Range today. Peak gusts between 40 and 60 mph can be expected at the base of the foothills. Travel could be difficult along Highway 93 and U.S. 36.

I'm still going to show up, if its really bad, I guess I just head home.

If the wind isn't too bad I'd be up for a lower loop around GM. If its 30+ mph the top sections will not be fun.

Just got back from GM-Zorro-DR-GM. Wind was crazy when I left but mostly died down by the time I was coming back around GM to home. Shouldn't be too bad for y'all, but it will be cold.

I missed you guys on GM last night. Didn't get up there til 8:30 - basketball practice . Looks like everyone was already back down at Ironworks enjoying a cold one, because the mountain was EMPTY. Wind was actually decent and had a great ride.

Nice ride last night! I had a big smile on my face driving into work as the windshield wipers were knocking the snow off the windshield. Definitely the calm before the storm last night. Was way overdressed during the climb up, only one section with some strong winds, other than that it was most excellent.

jake7 - Glad you are digging the lights. I was hoping to hear from you after you had ridden with them a couple of times. Maybe we will see you next week.

I like the IronWerks starting point for security , but an Alameda Amber was all I could think about on the climbs

Thanks for the ride guys. I was lucky to spot your lights from across Green Mountain and meet you towards the top. Box o' Rocks kicked my butt. I've never tried to pedal up a hill coated in greased bearings, at least that's what it felt like trying to pedal through the loose rocks. Being miserably out of shape doesn't help either.

I am so glad I opted out of Box o' Rox

Healing vibes sent out to mountaingoatepics and andychrysler. get well guys, we missed you.

To everyone else that bailed because of the wind during the day - you missed a good one. Keep your fingers croosed for good weather again next week ( I can't believe it is the middle of November).

Thanks Scar! I wanted to go but whatever hit me took me out cold...Lucky I have a desk job now as I was able to keep working all day though those few who were idiots, faced my wraith as I was not a chipper guy. I ended up falling asleep on my living room floor at 7:30 and woke up this morning feeling good and seeing this pretty white blanket outside. May have to go Hit Green Mtn, I mean White Mtn this afternoon.

Sweet ride last night! I'm also mostly glad I opted out of Box o' Rocks, although I will tackle it one of these rides for certain. Great meeting everyone (a few of ya'll for the second time) and looking forward to more night adventures!

Next time, I'll stop at Burrito Express on the way back to I-Dub... that Hop Killa is far too tasty to just have one, and having una mas on an empty stomacho isn't the brightest thing I've done lately...

I wasn't having much fun on the bike, I put it together in a hurry before the ride. Bars at the wrong angle, brakes not set right and the rear was still rubbing, the shock was set for FR (I was shuttling with the bike a few weeks ago) so pedaling sucked, the seat was angled wrong and really digging into my junk, I had DH wheels on it so it was pedaling even worse. Then I got a flat and fell behind.

I was getting pissed an didn't want to be on my bike anymore so I headed home.

Brother, I'd roll a kilt! Just don't go looking for those photos from my Mother In Law's wedding....A dude in a hula skirt and coconut bra just is unsettling. Unfortunately for me, twas me in the duds.

Yeah, I've got all week right? I just need to get some spokes for my wheels. But even without those I'll have the bike set up right this week. I still won't be able to keep up with the single speeders...

I distinctly remember it was a certain fella wearing a telemark hooded sweatshirt saying "una mas!" to the waitress more than once, and I can assure you I ride a snowboard. Who was trying to match WHO now?
