Cool-blue Rhythm paranoia will destroy ya

so i hit up deer creek late this afternoon (not sure why i only get down there once or twice a year-- those upper loops are fun/flowy). anyway, pinch flatted out deep in the trees as the sun was going down. back on the trail what seemed like days later (meager little pump), it dawned on me (no pun intended ) that they say mtn lions are most active at dusk. i don't usually ride w/ my ipod, but tonight as i was cranking the tunes (TOOL) i kept having this freaky sensation of what it would be like to be knocked off my bike from behind by a pouncing lion (especially since i wouldn't hear it coming).

so of course all the way down every tree stump or clump of bushes looked like a feline waiting to pounce!

needless to say i made it off the mountain unscathed... (in the dark no less).

d*mn near made it up the wall of shame too; that last ledge, just a few feet from the top, denied me :

    next time i s'pose.

Wow - The Wall appears to be in pretty damn good shape.

Too bad I'm not in better shape.

    Nice job Terry...

Any ride that you finish still breathing is a good'n! I usually ride solo with my multi-tool, err, also, Maynard keeps the kittys away!

Good job on that tough climbing section, looks harsh!

Can't say as I'm surprised, but still, nice job Terry.

I have yet to ride mtb with my iPod. Only road due to the boredom factor. However, today it's BC, so it would seem a prime opportunity to give it a try. (snore)

    You misspelled "Lateralus".

Anyone else going to the show on the 21st? Pepsi Center, blah, but my fourth time in two years.

And I'm going to Deer Creek in a few minutes. Homework can wait.

Felt the same way on LOTB last week when it got dark half way through the ride. Had no ipod so I was hearing things too haha.

Way to go on the wall. Awesome. I made it up to the wall last week with only 1 stop and 1 dab, which was a major accomplisment for me. I can't believe you almost cleared that section
