    Palmer Park Pix Part III

Here are some pix of Dave, Ken & I from last Saturday's PP ride. I can't remember where we were half the time (we kinda just wandered everywhere), so I don't really have any descriptions for ya.

    Enjoy!

    And a couple more....

These are all of Ken, mainly cuz we lost Dave after a certain point.
(Dave: We should all stay together so we don't get separated.
Ken & Dan: Yeah good idea...hey, where's Dave??)

What were you guys doing back there, baking a cake? I waited, but wanted to keep riding. You guys should have gone left, and down Templeton, was a blast.

    Cheers,

    Dave

Cool pics - I really like that one of (Dave?) from the bottom, where he is dropping. I like how the flash illuminated portions of his bike to the point that he almost blends with the sky above - very surreal.

    Where is this magical wonderland?
"I came out for exercise, gentle exercise, and to notice the scenery and to botanise. And no sooner do I get on that accursed machine than off I go hammer and tongs; I never look to right or left, never notice a flower, never see a view--get hot, juicy, red--like a grilled chop. Get me on that machine and I have to go. I go scorching along the road, and cursing aloud at myself for doing it."

Yeah, Dan's a good shooter, he nailed those shots. I was riding a (yet uncracked) Giant AC with those goofy looking yellow DeeMax hubs, Ken was on a black Kona Coiler.

Dan, did you get any other shots of us from the side?

Doing this again this Saturday, will try to get there by 10:00am.

    Cheers,

    Dave

I think we rode by you guys at one point on Saturday...There were three of us (a orange Klein Palomino, a blue Els Truth and a black CDale Jekyll). I remember seeing a guy decked out in Fox gear, full face and pads eyeing up a launch as we went down some rocky stuff.

If you go by youself...plan for several hours of wandering to find "the good stuff".

Palmer is a HUGE playground laced with something like 25 miles of trails, easy to get lost, easy to miss the good stuff.

Best thing to do is to join up on a group ride...I hosted a group ride w/a bunch of Denver riders last summer. After 4 hours of riding - one of the guys shouted out with a big grin on his face "Dang! This place never ends, it's like Disney World!"

Thanks! I'd meet up with you guys but 9AM is way too early for me. I don't think my alarm has that setting on saturdays. If anyone from the bubble wants to go check it out on sunday let me know, i can fit one more person (possibly 2, but it'll be damn cozy) and bikes...

    Snowin' in the Springs yet?

May head down this weekend if trails are good.

Not as of an hour ago. It tried a few times today but nothing more than 20minutes of no sticking.
    Tony
    is making a comeback.

Turns out that five years of not mountain biking, really makes one strive to get back to it.
