OT: Went to the Porsche World Roadshow today

Great event, well done and just a ton of fun! Held at the Pikes Peak International Raceway this year. Not as fast a course as last year's; top speed of only about 100 before having to brake for the turns, but still just a ton of fun!

I was really impressed with the diesel engine in the Cayenne (though I'm not a fan of the vehicle itself) and the new Cayman S is amazing!

Is that you driving and would they let any ol' yahoo like me drive?
    Porsche World Roadshow

It's nice to see a (another?) diesel with 4wd offered, it's just too bad they couldn't eek a few more mpg out of that Porsche.

Yep, that's me driving the Cayman S. And yes, they let any old knucklehead drive (I should know, I'm one!)... if you can score an invitation.

They have the Panamera out in diesel in Europe. I suspect they'll bring it here. Some hate it, but I really like that car and with a diesel, it'll be pretty amazing. As for the mileage, several folks at the event said they had the diesel Cayenne and were getting 34, 36 and a bit more out of it on the highway. Not bad at all for how heavy that vehicle is.

My missus is looking for a new AWD diesel, but there is no way I am letting her test drive a Porsche. In fact I am not even going to tell her its coming out this year. There are a lot of options for AWD/Diesel in Europe, but we 'mericans don't like the diesel format for some reason.

Looks like a fun day out at the track regardless. A guy here at work with just got the groupon to drive a Lamborghini, $100 for an half hour. Free is better...

What the heck? Did I accidentally log into the "Mid Life Crisis Car Club" forum?

I thought this was where we discuss mountain bikes.

Always has to be a party pooper. Sorry your life is so sad, Wiggs, that you can't acknowledge that others have fun both on and OFF the bike.

Simmer down, Wiggs, or I'll post up some more flower shots.

I don't mind cars. I'm a motorhead too, but there are other forums for the topic.

If you're going to discuss cars here, at least talk about something interesting, not the default dentist/lawyer/doctor car of choice.
