OT: Snowboarding Video with new GP3

The wife and a buddy and I went up to Keystone Saturday and I took along the GoPro3. I'm still amazed at the clarity of this camera. I'll be getting some bike video soon especially if the front range weather holds.

I saw some dude with a helmet cam skiing backwards with his head between his legs. Probably cool footage once you flip it.

Keystone was grossly crowded Saturday, and we left after a couple hours. Did you stay all day?

Everything is in slow motion... is this the new THC feature?

We just went straight to the North and South Bowls early and rode them all day to get away from the crowds. The sun softened the snow at it was nice with no wind. We rode Outpost to get back up and hiked from there. We rode the Gondola to get back across at the end of the day.

I changed the fame rate to 10fps in the GoPro editing software (per frame, not collectively) and wasn't sure how the video would turn out. I used iMovie (which is crappy) to edit. Being all in slowmo, it definitely drags a bit but looks ok I guess.

Using a 30fps is a bit more normal. But I thought the image processing was interesting. The clarity is good, contrast looks good, video rendering also looks good. I realize you did quite a bit to throw it on youtube.

In general this looks to be a great camera, which is what I'm thinking of getting.

Cool video - thanks for sharing!

Is your GP3 the black or silver edition?
