I rarely post off topic but just wanted to share my experience during the storm -- we're at the top of Lee Hill and were in the epicenter of the deluge (my weather center registered 21 inches of rain). Throughout our neighborhood and across the front range, it has been awesome to see communities, neighbors, and strangers come together to help each other out. Up on the mountain, we were clearing trees that had snagged on powerlines and before we knew it there were over a dozen people who just jumped in to contribute to the common cause. Throughout this disaster, similar events played out across all communities whether it was helping to dry out flooded basements, digging drainage ditches & berms, fixing roads, and opening up homes to evacuees. Definitely cool to see... and now BMA has over 200 volunteers signed up to rebuild our trail systems so the good karma keeps flowing!
